I have been stuck for 15 years... endlessly wanting to perfect and not knowing what is missing. There is not one thing about what you say that I can pinpoint as new or something that I didn't already know, but I stumbled with your channel today and I feel the gears moving again. Just thought you should know. Thank you! You make beautiful movies.
I know a guy that has been talking about making movies, short films, drones, AI video for 26yrs with me. He has never filmed anything in 26yrs. Not 1 video. Because he is waiting for the day when he can pick up a camera and the raw footage looks like Ridley Scott filmed it. Now he's waiting for the entire movie to be written and created by AI. Myself, I have over 1000 videos, and now make a living completely off music videos, short films, interviews, web commercials, podcasts. My videos are not at a level that I want, and it's very disappointing to me, but the only want to get good at filming, is to get the camera out, film, make a bad video, learn something, and do more research. I have no money. And my set is usually me, or me and 1-2 actors, just filming what I have around me. People may not like my videos, or watch them, but I'm learning, and progressing. I may never be satisficed, but I see slow progress with every video, and see mistakes. Just film a short film, edit it, grade it, learn, and try again.
I feel like a good Sony camera, grading, editing, camera movements and sound, are easy enough to do. But I think having the right lights to get a good look is really where I'm failing. Being able to put some soft light the actor, and mood lights, without having it spill over the set and getting a flat look or hard light look, or blowing out the highlights with hard light on the actor. I would really like to see a lighting tutorial from you, and what lights you recommend, and how you work to control the light, and your go to lighting setups to get footage that looks like this.
How to Make a Cinematic Short Film With Nothing but incredible talent, lighting skills, cinematography skills, color grading skills, a great story idea and an amazing actor! 😁
You are very talented at what you do, most of us here probably sitting here scratching our heads trying to understand how you make something like this in your appartment and make it look like an actual movie on an A74! Just simply amazing! Would love to see an actual BTS video of you shooting with lighting etc
I have commented on your first short film idea, and now I shall comment again. One day you will be great my friend. Wonderful job at improving on the audio by this big margin.
@ermiaramez976 I like this kind of videos because I myself am in a similar state of mind and process, so this is like a confirmation to me and some other people that disagree with me. Thanks again
Acabei de comprar uma A7iv e esse filme mostrou exatamente tudo que eu queria saber sobre produção de cinema com um setup de baixo orçamento. Ficou tudo perfeito! Seu canal é inspirador 🎥🔥
if you launch a course teaching all the techniques from beginning to end, from lighting, framing, camera, lenses, how to make such a scene, I would definitely buy the course.
man, i appreciate it so much. i dont think im on that level yet, honestly. but i'll try my best to share the things i learned in this journey with all of you on this channel
@@ermiaramez976 Hey, don't beat yourself up, buddy. Seriously, your skill level is top-notch, I'm not kidding. Look, I might not know you personally, but I'm in the same game making short films. What really catches my attention is your knack for creating these captivating vibes. Kudos! You know, I see loads of filmmakers out there puffing their chests, but honestly, some of them ain't that strong. And then there's you, with a ton of talent, downplaying yourself. You really shouldn't do that, 'cause your level is like that of a seasoned pro.
Hello, I learn some good stuffs with yours vids and i can here send you back a little trick. For making false blood, I have an even simpler recipe: Carmine red food dye and liquid honey. it has the right consistency and just thick enough to sink that very slowly. it is already yellow. A few granules of soluble liophilized coffee can be added to make dried blood crusts if necessary. 100 edible but difficult to clean afterwards on clotches. Just try it the next time you need some.
Amazing look and feel in your image. Could I ask, do you use any filtration like a black pro mist, glimmer glass etc…? If so at what strength? I’m trying to master this look in my films and any help would be great. 👍🏽
H..HH..HOW ON EARTH!!!??!!?....like whaaat? ok. you two are geniuses. that's all I have to say. (and this is coming from a guy who can't do scary shows because I'll literally chew my entire fingers off from anxiety)
Awesome and inspiring, maybe sometime i can do something similar. Also i really love your short film "The Idea" - everyone who hasn't watched it yet should do so.
I’ve watched pretty much all of your videos and I’ve been really impressed. But I did have one question that I haven’t seen answered in the comments or descriptions. I’ve noticed that your videos don’t seem to have some of the over-sharpening that I’ve seen in other videos. Do you do anything to try to reduce sharpening and take off the digital edge from your footage? For example, do you turn down the sharpening? Do you use any filters to reduce the digital edge? In particular, I’ve noticed that the shots of the face of your actress don’t seem to have that digital overly-sharpened look that I often see.
Hey, love your stuff. Keep it up. Curious, how are you mounting the pavotubes to not magnetic surfaces? I have two of them but can't figure out how people are doing that. Thanks!
so you have one other person who happens to be an actress, that's not nothing. that's a major asset that not everyone has - it's something. the hunt for learning techniques to shoot a short film by myself and no one else continues on... nice work though, you are very talented.
Hi, can you tell how to export to youtube with film grain noise ? all my video test i upload 4k with film grain noise looks terrible on youtube .ex: you use av1, h254,265 ? thx
Hey Bro u kiled it bro im watching every videos nd movies, but we need more videos liks this. Here i learnt so many things. because im also waiting for long yrs back. There is a one thing make it as BTS videos ❤. We can learn over here
All's good mate.. But you still need to work out your SFXes such that they sound diegetic, not studio. Try giving them some surround/reverb effect n all. Like, manipulate their loudness, pitch & placement in the room n all... Ig what I am trying to say is that they don't sound right/real, like they don't really exist in the film (sounds very studio) and that breaks my immersion everytime. Besides that everything else was great! The camera & lighting n all. So much better from what I remember from your previous works... :) #YouAreDoingAGreatJob! #KeepImproving!
Everything is super cool except sound levels, your voiceover is competing with music and other sound. I would decrease another sound a bit when you are talking. But in any case, the shots, the light are very cool.
Bro made a cinematic short film on how to make a cinematic short film🛐 i would very much appreciate if you make a video making cinematic sequence on super cheap camera like a zve10 for creating cinematic looking sequence reminding ppl with smaller cameras that its not always the gear that's stopping bigfan❤ from 🇮🇳
Here is the clue. If you have an iPhone 14/15 promax or S24/23 Ultra buy a suitable phonecage with a 1.33 anamorphic lens which is very cheap and efficent. An nd filter on it. One gimball and a tripod, you are ready to shoot. These kind of sony gears are not for the beginners. So i prefered only lens for my phone😊
Looks really good! Awesome work man! My last feature film I did with a Sony A7Siii + A7iv with no crew. Here's the trailer if you're interested: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-LwQgeqoCA0w.htmlsi=eqNFWNsGgW_AR3CH Keep up the great content!
