Hey, glad your back after a long time away. Gotta tell ya…you sold me on your channel on what to do with veneer that crumples instead of bending…I nearly busted a vein laughing so hard at that because anyone who makes bentwood rings has had your awesome reaction at some point. Anywho, I’d advise backing that accelerator can off by about 12” and only hit the ring with quick shot or two…that continuous spray as you know causes the CA to micro-boil, in turn causing micro-bubbles that when sanded turn into white spots from the dusty “half-bubble”. Then the only thing you can do is sand beneath it. Got a few good tips from ya though so keep at it and enjoy the ride! 🙂🪵💍

haha! Thank you! Thank you for the support. My accelerator use gets a little too aggressive when I lose my patience....which then makes it all worse. You are very right on the right way to use it though! Are you using the aerosol or the spray bottle?

@@DreamwoodRings, spray can always or none at all depending on the situation. I use medium CA applied thin with a strip of clear plastic (pen turner’s trick) on the outer and many coats of thin applied with a reduced cotton q-tip. I struggle with applying using the toothpick method…lotsa low spots. I’d like to get to the point of having 8 coats of medium all over the ring which creates a huge “force field” but need to improve my technique on that. Was thinking strictly UV resin and ditch the ongoing spray cost. I’ve actually had some success not using it all but no hazing/blooming depends on humidity. Btw, thinking about getting your stepped mandrel as sizing to sockets with masking tape is getting old. 🤣
