@@Ky-lb5ts for anyone who may read this comment absolutely spend the extra money for the 9.6 versus 5 gallon one. 5 gallon would be the absolute minimum but it sure would be nice to have some extra headspace. @@Stuff.I.D0 hiya just old copper tanks from your plumbing, in England we call immersion tanks, my mates a plumber he scaps them regularly, but way in for around £60, was hoping they was bit cheaper to be honest, but probably get a mtr square or more, then just clean off the impurities. Thought be a cheaper way of having a go.

A roofing supply store should carry 3'x8' sheets of copper.

Get the heaviest gauge.

Try calling a roofing supply store. C100 copper 3'×8' sheet should be under $200

The sizes I'm working with aren't for high volumes. Not worth the effort or risk to make enough to sell. I have checked with local authorities, though. Seems they don't care about personal quantities, so's long as you don't sell it.

How do I scale this up amd what about thumper amd worm and flake stand

I should make a video on the condenser. I can tell you that it's 1/4" flexible copper, formed around 3" pipe and cased in pvc. It's cooled with a submersible fish pump drawing from a 5 gallon pail of cold water. I find I have to switch it up at least once per run, depending on the season. No more than three times. I've yet to make a thumper. I have a smaller spirit still that I run on a hotplate. Used for 2nd and third distillation.

So I should have done a ten hour video? Or a bloopers reel? I think you're missing the point here. And it was not two different pieces. But thanks for the time you must have taken to pick apart the video.

That does look very thin .. my stainless still is strong enough I could stand on it if wanted too , if this is hooked up to a thumper be sure and vent the system at the very end of your run as it will crush like a beer can .

I do appreciate the comments, however the still has taken a lot of abuse over the last 8 years, along with 4 others I've built, all lead-free, and washed out with industrial grade vinegar. Never had a problem. Not sure what @masonjarmafiaOG is getting at.

P.S. It is unadvisable to stand on your still.
