» Step 1: Making & Baking the Heart Shaped Cake Layers ➞ 0:19
Bake and cool five cake layers according to pan directions. Level cakes in pan.
» Step 2: Assembling the Cake ➞ 0:45
Prepare a decorating bag with tip 2A and fill it with white decorator icing. Fill and stack the layers, piping the icing between the layers. Once the layers are stacked, pipe an extra line of icing between each layer so it extends beyond the edge of the cake. Use a spatula to smooth the icing around the sides of the cake.
» Step 3: Making & Tinting the Glaze ➞ 2:14
Prepare the glaze following the recipe instructions, but change the following ingredient amounts; Confectioners’ Sugar ➞ 2¼ cups
Milk ➞ 3 tablespoons and 1 teaspoon
Clear Vanilla Extract ➞ ½ teaspoon.
Once mixed, divide the glaze evenly into four containers. Using the Burgundy icing color, tint one glaze Burgundy. With the Red-Red icing color, tint one glaze light pink and one glaze darker pink. Leave the remaining glaze white.

Transfer the tinted glazes to decorating bags.
» Step 5: Decorating the Cake ➞ 3:22
Decorate cake as shown by piping glaze in alternating colors along top of cake, allowing the glaze to drizzle down the sides of the cake.
