Thanks I've been thinking how I wanted to do this and this was right on time. Thanks My only issue is I filled my pole with cement so I might run into issues drilling into the pole.

i just purchased the light. the pole i used was a old sliding pole from a playground set. but you can use a plumbing pipe for example from home depot.

How is this light holding up for your use. The price has gone up to almost $120. Does it hold enough charge to run properly? I’m thinking of doing the same.

It’s holding up fine luckily. Even with minimal winter Sun. Happy with it so far. There is other models out there too. I’m sure its similar.

I have a metal heavy pipe. Do you recommend using it?

I used a solid metal pipe from playground set. As long as it’s not super heave you should be fine. As long as your base is weighted down good.

You could always throw a few metal hose clamps around the 2 poles (hoop pole and your green light pull) to tighten them up together (in addition to the bolts you put in). Instead of the bungee cord.

Yeah. Definitely. Good idea. Bungee wasn’t needed anymore. I just left it.
