🌟Since there are many aquarists who cannot afford a pressurized CO2 installation in the aquarium and there are various DIY methods of CO2 addition, I decided to present you the best, durable and safe method. The sugar and yeast method, improved (with gelatin and bicarbonate). This DIY CO2 plant variant has a much longer life, you will understand why after watching this video. Enjoy!

🚨Must know!🚨
I found the recipe on forums 12 years ago, it doesn't belong to me but I used it and it works perfectly.
"Here is the recipe for a DIY CO2 installation for 2 liters.
👉 Ingredients for a 2l bottle:
- 5.5 cups of water (preferably distilled, but it also works from the tap)
- 1.5 cups of sugar (a cup has approximately 250-300 ml.)
- 20g gelatin
- 0.5 teaspoon of yeast
- 1 teaspoon of sodium bicarbonate (increases the initial pH so that it has somewhere to decrease after fermentation. This is due to the fact that too much acidity kills the yeast too quickly. For this would be better brewer's yeast, which does not depend on ph.
👉 Preparation of the CO2 system:
1. Put the gelatin in half a cup of cold water, mix and let it hydrate for about 5 minutes (otherwise it will form lumps).
2. Put 2.5 cups of hot water in which the sugar is dissolved in a saucepan.
3. Add the cup of gelatin.
4. Put the saucepan on the fire and stir often.
5. At the first boil, take it off the heat (it is not good to boil, because the gelatin is destroyed).
6. Add the sodium bicarbonate and mix well.
7. Let it cool until it can be poured into a bottle.
8. Put the bottle in the refrigerator and let it harden well for a few hours.
9. When the gelatin has coagulated, add 2.5 cups of warm water in which the yeast was previously dissolved.
10. Connect the bomb to the CO2 hose. In a few hours the production of CO2 should begin."
🚨 It must be placed in a place away from children or animals so that it does not fall over. If it turns over and gets active yeast in the aquarium or foam it will cause problems! It is a safe method but used improperly it either does not work or can create problems so use it at your own risk. If something is unclear to you, don't hesitate to ask me!🚨
