DIY: Learn how to make a mini drill press (bench drill) machine. Main channel - crazyNK: ru-vid.com... Fb Page: / awesomecreativeideas Thank you for watching Navin Khambhala.
This press has worked like a charm for my projects ru-vid.comUgkxajoEbapTfqWaadnqb04h6U576yxXp-FE . I didn't even secure it to my table top, mainly due to the fact that I was using a 15 lbs drill vise. It's not flimsy at all as to what others have claimed it to be. Make sure the locking nuts and levers are secured and there won't be any issues with light pressure and patience. I was able to drill through aluminum, plastic, and steel (steel took a while) with no problems at all. Yeah it took a little longer than a regular drill press, but I don't have the space OR the money for one.The instruction manual was worthless, but luckily assembling the press was intuitive. However, the manual would be good for ordering replacement parts if needed. There is a nice breakdown of the parts that are included in the kit. Before ordering, make sure it is compatible with your unit, it is clearly stated what models the press is compatible with. This was an excellent purchase for $40!!
I mostly don't have to build my own tools. However, I love to watch your videos to see what you'll get up to next. Keep up the good work, you're amazing!
Thumbs up, a good job with the resources that are available. Whoever has not seen it would not believe it.
It's all ok, except the drill bit is out of center. You can break the bits when you use smaller thickness. You have drill bits holders which can adapt, like some dremel ones.
i gonna make one this for my 3 years old son gain experience operating a drill press , this one is safe , 6 volt or less, a cassette player motor , this is very, very safe for a 3 years old kid , tanks for the information , you are a very smart man , i learn a lot from you
Awesome ! Should I know what kind of material you are using to connect the motor and the drill head together . Seems that thing is pretty tough to connect them
What I like about it is the carefully precise machined approach, to provide yourself and others a high quality piece of machinery that will last a lifetime a top your work bench!!! Where can I pick up some of that precision putty?? Is it expensive??
Nice work. One improvement would be to lower the height of the blue tower such that the bit can travel below the base. Then you could drill vertical holes in locations where a store bought drill press cannot reach (eg: in the centre of a full sheet of plywood).
puedes agregarle una plataforma con un esprin en la parte inferior de la tabla que sostiene el motro para cuando llege hasta a bajo el mismo temga un retroseso
yes ,very smart man, cassette player motor ,wood glue and a peace of wood ,,$3.00 on all parts a drill press on the tool store cust more than $300.00 and he make this one for less than $3.00
Spidle must be splitted from the motor: your gearbox has a flipping axis for drill chuck, chuck is dongling. The simplest way is a classical pulley system, chuck fixed on a bolt, and two cheapest small bearings holds it.
