I combined the idea of this weave with your tutorial for the adjustable Mad Max bracelett and it turned out quite nice. Thank you for your time and effort.
Great tutorial! Made my first bracelet yesterday (Cobra) but I like this design better. It was a little tough getting a hang of at first but the tutorial was clear and straight forward so eventually I finished it ;). Keep up the great work mate!
Dude you rock!!!!! Thank you so much for this tutorial. I'm a massive fan of paracod and it's uses. Much like you I prefer simple attachment methods so this is exactly what I was looking for. Thanks again.
Tim, I caved in. For now, I used a spline and jig to keep the spline relatively tight. This permitted me to have good tight fishtail weave finished with a Lan;yard knot. John
Tim, once again an excellent tutorial. So far in addition to the Fishtail, I have learned the Cobra weave bracelet, the snake weave bracelet and of course the Lanyard knot from you. John
Great video. I actually prefer your diamond knot tutorial at the end to other's I've seen because you're using two different colored cords and you move a little faster.
Thanks :o) easy to follow, made mine with gutted. looks great, yet another choice for customers. I really appreciate you well made tutorials Tim, awesome work!
could you make a video or two using paracord with the core removed, I don't always like the bulk of regular cord (very small wrist) and not all weaves work without the core...something to ponder. This one is excellent, by the way, without the core.
I own a few of survival bracelet's which I bought all of mine from Friendly Swede, but I want to start making my own. Cost is cheaper and a lot of the times the bracelets are a little to big. My question is where do you get your paracord from and should I get a jig board or do it free hand like you? I wear mine every day. Please get back to me when receive this. GREAT video. Thank You.
+Michael Kish There's a lot of great suppliers like Paracord Planet and Bored Paracord. A jig is helpful and does make things a lot easier, but is not completely necessary. I hope that helps! :)
There is actually a nicer way to end the weave. Do the last weave but leave a little loop at your las working string (left or right, whatever would be the last). Then start a new weave but just on one side, then pull the cord thru the loop you left earlier. Kinda hard to explain but that way you have a really nice finish, plus both cord ends can be synged on the backside, giving the weave a perfect look.
Merci pour la video, que j'ai beaucoup apprécié, il n ' existait pas avant mais je trouve que tu as un beau montage et que je comprends tout meme si je suis francais, lol :) , tk u a lot ! bye . David ... France ...
+Jessica Torres I'm not sure I fully understand your question. Like, do you want to add a separate loop on to this so that the leash connects to that loop?
Wow, that's a lot of weaving. I've never done a length that long before, but I think a general rule is about 1 foot of paracord per inch of bracelet. So you might need a little more.
Awesome tutorial Tim. Do you think you could do a tutorial on how to add a couple of passes of a different color to one side of the snake knot. I believe someone posted an example on the Facebook group. Also, I would love to see a "dragon's teeth bracelet" tutorial from you. I can't figure it out from the pics.
CatchbullY Thanks! I'll see what I can do for those ideas you mentioned. I'm always adding ideas to my list of videos to make. Thanks for the suggestions. :)
like your videos there aweome. something to do when someone is bored. but would really like to see a 4 color king cobra paracord bracelet. if u dont already have it.
Could you make some tutorials on how to make different bracelets adjustable? I would love to be able to make this pattern, along with others, adjustable so anyone can wear them. Thank you!
Thanks for this but Ive seen lately a bracelet named dragons teeth.. It looks like a fishtail with accent 3rd color in middle and the 1st two colors are not alternating.. Care to make a tutorial of it please?
oleb2002 You can find a lot of great retailers online, it depends on where you live though. I live in Canada, so I go to greatadventure(dot)ca, but if you live in the US, there are many great sellers to choose from. Just do a google search. It's best to buy paracord that made in the US though.
Mikey www.boredparacord.com he carries all sorts of accessories with free shipping. He even carries Fids for weaving tight spots and three blue flame lighters for melting the ends faster. Enjoy
if u pushed the first weave up a little bit more and make the rest of the weave tighter, the colours on the paracord wouldnt look so slanted i think that looks slightly better
+Artie Bellini About one foot of paracord per inch of bracelet, then add the amount needed for the core which would be your wrist circumference times two.
+Artie Bellini the example, 11 feet (@5.5 each) for 10 inch bracelet.. i made 8.5 inch bracelet with 4 feet each, and have a leftover about 10-12cm, from the weave
I wish i can get free paracords and make them bracelets to help my parents in my learning because here in philiphines paracords its cost me to much money to buy one . .
If I try to tie anything else other than a cobra weave, it never turns out. It always runs long. If I want one to be 9 inches, it elongates to 11 inches. I did a fish tail weave bracelet. It turned out be long.
The beginning of this and the explanation is very difficult. Its important to designate the fact that you want to complete seperate strands of cord instead on one long one folded in half like every other video you do. Watched this video probably 20 tonnes before figuring out out my own
KarsmadA Hi, i'm sorry. I disturb you again. Could you tell me, what kind of the material or spesific name in mart. Because i'm so hard to find that. Please tell me?
So, "tightly" ended up being the operative concept for me. Like I said, the knot kept coming undone. Eventually I used pliers to pull on the ends and that got it tight enough to stay knotted.
It would be a lot easier to follow you if your hands weren't in the way so much. LOL! But seriously, I started this maybe six times and still can't follow what you're doing. I have to find another person to watch...
Problem with your video 7:53 and 11:27, look at the circular loop at the top of the bracelet, in the earlier frame the olive cord cannot be seen wrapped around the burgundy but in the later frame it magically reappears...
