You should of cut the casing in half and put the battery in the casing itself, negative side down. The put a switch in series connecting the positive end to the bottom of the flashlight.

Huh? You literally took a working flashlight and then rewired it to go on a bullet case. For one! No one is going to take a working flashlight and hot glue it to a bullet casing. Second! Not everyone has bullet casings lying around. This project makes absolutely no sense. I understand if you're going for some sort of esthetic look but even then you have wires hanging which can be easily damaged. Total fail!
