we are showing how we made our blades and the quality of it we are the bohol blades blacksmith andwe are hoping your supports #ginunting #BoholBlades #ForgedInFire
Kung gagamitin to as a tool or weapon i think full tang or sagad sana sa pomel yung tang para mas matibay. Keep up the quality vids lagi akong nakaabang
Good job man! It just need a very little refinement/enhancement on the quality like heat treatment and hand guard to make it world renowned and best choice for the collectors. Continue improving your skills bro it would definitely make you to stardom someday.
I want to comment about the tang also there grinding I feared that it will ruined the temper of the blade, but I don’t want to get bash by the cringed Filipino thinks they are experts. The fit and finish of the ginunting is excellent much more beautiful than TFW ginunting especially the scabbard looks like a red sandalwood or Nara with brass fittings. And the guy cutting the Buffalo horn have a ball’s of steel it’s hundred time’s much more dangerous than cutting it with a bandsaw.
@@hobbyman47 A catastrophic failure is not an option for me as a prepper. I have several knives and firearms in my bug-out kit, some of my knives are made in the Philippines and some are made here in the US. I tend to survive outdoors for several months if I had to. My bolo, pinuti and ginunting was made by my uncle which I brought to US with me back in the 80's. To have a failure like in this video, raised my doubts of the quality of knives being exported. here. BTW, I'm a metalsmith. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-IfRKYu4hp9Y.html
@@hobbyman47 it works for the Filipino blades, I guess. Filipinos have smaller hands, having a longer handle is disadvantageous for them, especially FMA have trapping techniques. And yes, it's also cringy for white people telling the brown people what to do.
@@KenMikaze haha I am not calling the length of the handle the problem is the length of the tang its not even a full tang. the tang is too short for the handle like its only half of the handle. If it swing too hard it will break the handle. and the best handle construction is probably the Itak full and robust tang same handle length as the ginunting. I commented about people thinking they know about blades and probably doesn't knew black smithing you made a good blade but wasted it by having a short tang. by the way I saw a lot of handles getting destroyed because there tang is not in the sufficient length even a Victorinox fibrox handle breaks after hitting a cow bone.
GINUNTING IS A BLADE ORIGINALLY FROM PANIT-AN CAPIZ...GINUNTING IS A HILIGAYNON WORD USED BY ILONGGOS .ANTIQUENOS CAPIZNON AND .AKLANON .IN THE WHOLE PANAY REGION.....
