That is one of the coolest project's I've ever watched be crafted together. I'm seriously in awe and can't wait to try it. Probably on much smaller scale to start with tho! 💜🙏🤩
I just recently changed my bathroom decor to sea life or coastal decor. This jellyfish would make an excellent gorgeous addition to my collection!! I can't wait to make one!!!
I get you guys are giving him constructive criticism, but at least say something _good_ about his piece. You guys are finding negative things about what he did when his artwork is amazing! No hate, but all the comments are saying things wrong he did. Just pointing that out, have a good day. PS: Your artwork is amazing! It’s incredible how this turned out!
It would be great to have some specific details. Ex where did you find the bowl to use as a mold, the led lights, how many glue sticks, was it parchment paper you used??
Thanks for sharing. But I have a question, which kind of product do you use (some kind of glue) to make the jellyfish ? Which kind of support do you use? I mean, a support that doesn't stick to the glue (first the bowl, then the paper)? Thanks for your time and your answers! Cheers
I am using hot glue gun sticks to make the flesh of jellyfish and for the tentacles, I am using parchment paper so the glue does not stick on it. I did not apply any release agent on bowl but it was hard to get it off from it. So I will suggest you to apply Vaseline or Cooking oil inside the bowl. Make sure to apply two layers of hot glue to make the structure strong. If you have more question feel free to ask.
@@s.d.hargreaves9939 If you peel hot glue off of a surface it will be rubbery like that. To my knowledge all hot glue has that rubberized texture to it.
Great idea of yours~Thank You for sharing with us all!!! If you have time to answer, I'm wondering whether there is a way to turn on/off the LED strips once they're secured inside the jellyfish and if not, do lights remain on once all is sealed up? Also, if LED's can not be turned on and off once piece is finished, is there a way to wire so that the connection's slightly protrude from the bottom of center jelly "tail"...so that you'd be able to twist the wires together and apart /turn lights on and off from the outside?
I always have a time for my subscriber and nice visitors like you. These LED's can be on/off easily by switch button. Please have a look at video from 2:50, I have encapsulate a long twisted wire in glue this is the main wire which is connected to all LED's . Finally I have connect the 12 volts adapter to this main wire and plugged it to switch.
@@HowtoArtist I see you push the power wire in from bottom but when you turn it over there is not battery pack hanging so where is the battery pack? When you flip it there's nothing on top?
I know you've been great about responding can you share what kind of led lights you used and the switch. I'm having trouble trying to decide which ones from Amazon would work.
I have made a half loop like a "n" letter with hot glue on parchment paper and peel it and stick it ends on top of lantern with hot glue. Finally pass a thread from a loop and hang it.
Thanks. I have combine positive terminal (red wires) of all wires with each other and same with negative terminals (blue wires). Please have a look at video from 2:50, I have encapsulate a long twisted wire in glue this is the main wire which is connected to these two kind of wires (red and blue). Finally I have connect the 12 volts adapter to other side of this main wire and plugged it to switch.
For my sons project we used baking paper in the bowl, as vaseline did not work... and we used €5 Vissvass led lights from Ikea. Project was very succesful for school.
I'm sorry if it happened. I did not spray anything in the bowl but I had applied TWO thick layer of glue (apply one layer and again apply second layer of hot glue) which I have forget to mention. So when I pull it out it was not broke because of it thickness. After reading your comment I have searched on internet and found that some craft's maker apply oil in shallow objects before hot gluing to make such thing easy to pull.
I have used common LED Strip Light. Its come with 12 volts adapter so you can plug it up and use it as a night lamp. You can also light them up with 12 volts battery. If you still have any question feel free to ask.
Can you send me the pictures or website link of LED's that you have bought, so I can know what kind of it and then I will give you better wiring diagram according to them.
u r using a huge amount of glue gun for making one piece of it can u suggest me some alternative of glue gun as I m thinking for making it in large no.
Yes we need lots of sticks to make it. I don't have any alternative in my mind. You can also try glow in the dark glue gun sticks so it will glow in dark without LED lights. Keep in mind, apply some cooking oil inside the bowl so when you take it out it will come nicely and add two layers of glue in the bowl to make it strong. Apply second layer after the first one dries.
Yes, First i have connect (solder) the black wire with negative and red wire with positive terminal of each LED strip, then I combined all red wire together and did same with black. Finally connect the positive terminal of adapter with red wires and negative terminal with black wire. I hope I have understand your question correctly If not please ask it again.
I'd do a glow in the dark paint as suggested, but if you're making a small version you can buy cheap light up toys at the dollar store and steal the lights and on/off switch. Just hot glue it where you need it.
