This has to be my favorite yet- you've really outdone yourself!! This is truly awesome, and if there was any doubt before as to whether or not I'd buy your album of your 'how-to's, it's gone now. Thanks shady! Can't wait for that to drop.
I'm really happy to hear that, man! It's always a nice motivational boost when someone says your newest track is their favorite. I'll keep trying to bring the best I can! Thanks for the support, buddy.
ur songs are so catchy my friend and as i told u ur one of the best shredders of this new gen keep up the good work cuz ur soul and emotions reache ur audience behind the screens keep on ROCKING the youtube stage we all love ya buddy !!
I have lost my heart for music for years now due to discouragements from the family but DAMN this got me inspired to get back up there again and make some music!!! :'D You are such an inspiration TwT I am crying now, no kidding.
Seriously. Every time I hear one of Shady's songs, I get a ton of ideas for a boss fight, especially with these composing tutorials....I really have to learn coding
I’m just saying, if this had great vocals and a little bit of a better song structure, this could be the best Halloween songs on ALL TIME. Could be the next Square Hammer. Wish we could get some vocals on it. Great song! has a lot of potential!🤘
So like, I'm usually a singer. I play guitar but I sing more than I play, however, recently I got sick and my throat has been fucked so I lost my voice. After watching some of these videos, I realized that not every song needs a vocal. You can still create a great song based purely on guitar harmonies and cool melodies. Thank God too because nothing makes you realize how much you love your guitar more than when it's one of the only ways you can express yourself at all anymore xD.
Shady make a How To write a Swancore song! (I'm sure you know what that is, but in case not, it's anything like Dance Gavin Dance or other bands related to guitarist Will Swan and his label) You've made some similar content like the Fall of Troy-ish math/prog video, but I feel like this could really bring out even more of your awesome stuff! Badass channel by the way (of course), the executions of the ending songs always show the difference between just throwing some stupid riffs together and being a songwriter 👍
I actually have something like this planned (if I manage to pull it off)! Just waiting to record it and come up with cool bass licks for some parts. And thank you so much for the kind words, man. It seriously means a lot, and I'm glad you've been digging them. I'll keep up. Rock on, bud.
Why the fuck you still have only 34k subs? Your lessons god damn awesome and more educational then moste of other U-Tube crap. I wish you all the best, bro.
For some extra Nightmare Before Christmas Effect, sprinkle in some mediant chords. (Is that how you call them in english? Going from a chord to another chord that is a third away but NOT usually existent in that key. For example: Going from a-minor to c-minor). Elfman loves that shit.
From all the HowTos I watched today, I cannot decide which of all of these genres is the one you are composing for your personal band/projects full time. this one really got the vib this is your genre due to the nailed composition... but i need your final answer. what rock you like... please don't tell me those baby voices post-hardcore
Does anyone get a little bit of a D.R.U.G.S. vibe from this? It's not really evident in the verses but I could really hear it in the intro and around the chorus. Either way, I love it!
It's weird, but yeah. They are very similar in style. Hell, the "Halloween" style sometimes ventures into swing as well. Kind of a funny one to pin down.
if you know some advanced music theory, then you'd know it works just fine. I'm not trying to be an ass, I'm just making note of something. like say a C minor add 9#. the sharp makes the note go up a half step, making it work and a part of the scale. it's rather confusing and I don't understand the whole theory myself. all I know is that it works
No worries, man. I really appreciate comments like this. I actually don't know any music theory, minus the few things I pick up here and there. I just describe it that way to make it easier for the majority of viewers in the same boat as me. That being said, I could definitely word it better. That is interesting though! Thanks for the fact, man.
you're welcome! I'm looking forward to the next video! watching and listening to people make awesome riffs inspires me to make awesome stuff too! keep up the awesome work man!!!!
