Instead of heating the tape to pinch it against the wire using the fire match, you can also do it using the soldering iron as well, any source of heat can do the thing. Also imagine if you put a sensor at the bottom the hand dryer could turn on everytime you put your hands at the bottom, so that you don't have to turn it off manually, so that when you're done drying your hands, it will turn off automatically. But the sensor will need a circuit.

+Zane Wv Hair dryers do have multiple heat settings, so he probably would have used the lowest setting.

Well, plastic can handle a bit of heat however, but it can melt under severe heat, so it's okay to make a hand dryer using plastic.

Great, except the fan is wired up backwards, and it's a crossflow design so it needs the other plastic cover to work properly. So there will be less airflow, which is why the heater was glowing orange.

Surely the head generated would soften the glue that has everything held in place and would risk the items dislodging This theb could potentially cause a fire Also the plastic tuppaware shouod be microwave / heat resistant ad you can get plastic tuppaware thats not and would melt

this hand dryer is special: ordinary hand dryers use power full blades and they're silent hand dryers. Hand dryers use automatic relays or timer push buttons. Also the hand dryers have an low speed direct drive motor and they've normal sound not sound like a scared cow
