I took a pottery “class” once and it’s so difficult to get things centered and then try to even get the shape of a pot. Watching you do it easily is really fun to watch
I remember I had pottery class as well. I always thought it was super easy. It's really fun but it's difficult to learn the basics, it's a weird substance to work with.
i wish i knew about using a straight edge for the outside. I tried making mugs in Ceramics class in highschool and its so hard to not get any finger prints/correct shape of them
I agree with your opinion. It is also interesting to know your opinion about my videos. In one of the videos, I made a leather clutch with jewelry brass knuckles in the form of rings.
This process is lovely. Pottery is on my to-do list to try out so I can look at what I've made or make someone smile. How long have you been a doing pottery for? Quite some time it looks like. Good job and beautiful artwork
Thank you! It’s such a fulfilling craft, takes some time to learn, like anything but it’s so gratifying making the bowls and mugs you use everyday to eat and drink from. I’ve been making pots now for about 11 years.
Its the first time a video relaxes me so much i fall asleep!! My insomnia is so bad i used to fall asleep at 11am and usuakly wake up at 2pm, most at 5pm. Now i fell asleep at 1am and woke up at 8am!!!! I know it might not be a big deal but this was so important to me :((♡♡♡ definitely suscribing!!
Wow it’s incredible to watch this I’m honestly gonna cry a bit at how amazing the craftsmanship in this video is! So much attention to detail & concentration! I love this!
Ooh thank you billion times .No words for such masterpieces. MAY ALLAAH SWT BLESS THEM WITH ENOUGH EARNING FROM THIS ARTISTIC ENDEAVOR. SO MUCH RESPECT.
thank you for the video! it was such a relaxing watch. i have two questions: how short do you have to cut your nails so they don't interfere with the throwing stage? also, does water ever drip down into your long sleeve, and how much does that suck on a scale of one to ten?
Thank you very much! Well, I keep them relatively short, so they don't protrude further than my finger tips. Long nails can definitely be an issue and water almost never drips down my sleeve! Only when I'm throwing spouts and sometimes pulling handles and even then only rarely.
Thankyou so much for taking your time out to record this, I was having a quite difficult day and this really relaxed me. Your so dedicated to this, I appreciate it💖
Watching this is really amazing. After taking a half year course on pottery, this... I have a huge appreciation for this kinda work. I miss throwing on the wheel.... this is so soothing and just wonderful to watch.
I'm all strength, no dex, and your videos absolutely fascinate me to the point where I want to try to make pottery. You're like a clay wizard, making magic with your hands!!
@@krishnangeedebnath_ee3011 the court says I can’t discuss it on account of the civil settlement. 😂 Ok…..no one died, but I did set fire to the kiln. Still don’t know how. Haven’t touched pottery since, to the uproarious applause of the world’s population.
I miss pottery and ceramics so much. I took a ceramics class my last year of high school and loved every second of it (my art teacher was so supportive too). It’s been two years since that class and I still miss it everyday. I hope to one day get the chance to do ceramics again, even as a side hobby. Thank you for reigniting that love in me. Your skill is amazing!
Are you me? Cause this sounds like me and how things went and are now for me lmao I wish to get back into it, too but sadly there's no classes around where I live ;-;
00:30. Those teapots lined up on the ware board are Very beautiful! They must be your signature piece. They are at the leather hard stage, which feels a lot like chocolate!
I couldn't be patient enough to watch this. He actually doing it. How on earth some people have this GOD level patience. Sometimes I wonder just HOW? What's the secret? Hats off to you.
I just want you to know that once I was having really really bad menstrual pains and the Ibuprofen was taking a while to kick in, I was sweating and could neither stand up or sit but watching one of your videos helped me to get through the ordeal 😂😂 thanks
So relaxing! Been researching and trying out and creating different forms of "body doubling" (for task focusing) person-to-person and less directly through RU-vid videos... Also am thinking one reason pottery looks so calming is it's a form of connecting with nature (hands in earth) and nature connection relaxes and grounds. Plus creative flow state and local art and feels good to use hands...
This was beautiful. I watched every minute intently. But it was also calming. A good friend of mine is a ceramist/artist, so i have so much respect for your craft, and now I understand more of the skill involved. Thank you!
This is wonderful! Not just the teapot "design" but the work and skill you put into it it's so natural that it's just the most peaceful thing to watch 😊 I'm glad I found this.
*you make pottery look so easy and calming 😫💖 I like this side of RU-vid, it's basically everyone gathering in the comment section for a sleepover / asmr chilling session*
So satisfied! I was actually wondering what supplies I would need to start this hobby and approximately how much for everything. Thankyou Florian 🙏🙏🙏 Great video and channel as always 😃
Your videos r well made. I just love watching them. Your voice n studio sound is calming. Everything is so perfect. You r extremely talented artist. Angles of ur work r so precise n crisp. You r perfectionist. Watching u from India. 😘
It seems like a very delicate work. I can feel the danger that the texture of the pottery will be disturbed if you touch it wrong even a little by little.
Respect for leaving a comment to the author. I would be grateful if you look at my content and rate it. In one of the videos, I made golden matches on a 3D printer.
how you made each and every one of these so identical like they were just printed out is pretty amazing just as is your patience in making each and every one of said identical teapots
