I almost gave up on learning Unity game development until I found your video! The fact that you walked us through every step, without editing or cutting, and explaining how you're doing things is PERFECT for beginners! I learned a lot from working along side watching your video. If anyone here wants to learn how to develop a game, this is the single best video on RU-vid!
taking different assets from the store and using them to put together an original game is not asset flipping. Asset flipping is when you take a prebuilt demo scene or template from the store and publish it without making any changes to it and calling it your game. It is totally legit to take assets from the store and mix and match them together to make a game. That's what the store is there for. It is not there just for prototyping, and then you hire artists to make everything from scratch.
This is a seriously good tutorial, especially when you make 'mistakes' the explanations for why they occurred and how you fixed them is gold. Great work.
I love the full length no cut format. I rarely see that on yt. I’d love to see more. A suggestion for another video would be an open world or rpg game.
First time making a 3d game and this was super fun!! Paused a few times whenever things wouldn't work for you to see if I can figure it out. It's great! Instant subscribe. I'm excited to watch your other videos :) Discord link doesn't work though
Hey man, I really like your commentary and style. I'd love to see you show us how to make a game like Granny or some kind of survival horror inspired game from scratch. Perhaps like Resident Evil or something. I'm trying to make one myself and have only gotten so far as to make an item inspection script, but nothing else. Feel like this would be something up your street. Love the work dude!
Thanks man. This kit and tutorial is what I've been needing. I just want to make a basic escape room type game. Asset store stuff is too complicated to learn anything from. Your scripts are simple and understandable.
I enjoyed every bit of this video. i didn’t follow along because I don’t have my PC yet but I definitely will soon. I’ve always wanted to make games ever since i was a kid
Thank you so much for the video, my dream was to create a survival horror video game and due to your help, i'll manage to make my dream game! Thank you again! 😃
Great video❤. But you really need to show us how you maneuver around the scenery in blender so quickly and efficiently. I think a lot of us would have problems with that.
@@user1productions883 bro i did everything properly but i am not able to kill the enemy with the gun i added the colider But still i am not able to kill the player
bro u r amazing editor i want to make my ghost walk like granny if just u make us a totorial of her how i make walk like she. bro all respect from algeria i don.t mind if it 6h
nice video, blender was the hard part for me , first time using it and your shortcut sometimes doesn't work cause of versions different , btw love the fact you are giving free assets and giving your best to teach us . ez sub
A horror vr game you should do.. there's literally no tutorials and it's the most popular genre in vr.. I been kicking myself with vr trigger scene transitions ..
Theres a problem with the game , the character is able to move out of the ceiling i have tried many ways to fix it like using collision on both ceiling and player and even restricting the player movement maximum height in y axis but the problem remains intact can you please help me
Thanks so much for this video, so helpful for a beginner like me trying to make his first game. I have a question though, are the assets in the google drive folder royalty free? Am i able to use them in a game I might potentially try to sell online? Cheers, wishing you all the best!
Hi there, first of all thanks a lot for the amazing tutorial. I am a problem here. There is no bake funtion in AI Navigation in the new unity versions, Now it is component based. How to resolve this issue ?
Appreciate this video please make more videos like this , I'm new to unity and this helped me a lot . Question , My hand crosshair didn't open my chest or pick the lantern up , I followed your video step by step , Any advice
Hi User 1, I have a quick question, half way through the tutorial I realized that somehow my character doesn't move anymore, the view can still be moved around just wasd key weren't moving, they were moving fine before, what might be a reason that this happens?
Hey man, I'm starting to learn Unity and I should say it's pretty hard for a newbie. I have a question for you, is it better to create the map with Blender and then import it ? If I want to make a kind of open world? How should I do it?
I have a few suggestions: 1) unity is great for building prototype stuff, especially if you use pro builder (from asset store) For a better explanation about this look up game dev blocking out, it goes into more detail about how to properly build a map. 2) Unity is great for building terrains, there systems have amazing features for adding props in a mass amount, for example, trees, grass, bushes, rocks, etc. 3) For actual houses/ buildings, both interior and exterior I would highly recommend blender. Absolutely game development is going to be hard as a newbie, but also hard for people that do it all the time. it's always a race to figure out the best ways in doing things, and ill tell you from experience, there are a million different ways of accomplishing the same end result. No game is build the same, no game is built equal, just stick with it and eventually it will sorta be like a switch turns on, where it doesn't feel as hard or frustrating. I hope you find this information valuable, please feel free to watch more of my tutorials where I do always provide everything I make for this channel for a free download. Also perhaps check out the discord server found in the description, where we have over 500 members, all newbies, moderate, and professional game developers always willing to help out!
@@user1productions883 Thank you so much, your answer was really helpful. I just joined the discord, and I'll keep watching your videos to learn new stuff ! There are a lot of tutorials out there man, but most of them are "fake tutorials", they are more clickbaits. Not like your videos!! Thanks for the amazing work
Hello thank you for this quality content, I have a question. Why can't I access the face when I subdivide? There are no small dots between the squares. This problem blocks me because when I try to separate the walls from the floor I can't so I can't put different textures. If I could have an answer thank you in advance and again well done and thank you for this content
Do more of these! They are really helpful! I have one question though, how would it be possible to make the lantern react to physics and not animating it? Both the chain and the lantern in gneral
thank you so much for the video i learned a lot of things ! but i have a question why the enemy take too long to detect the player like when i start the game the enemy went to the first stop point then start Idle even if i was beside him then after 4 sec he detects me , like in total i have to play about 40 sec to let him detect me can someone explain please ?
if you make a horror game with a multiple story building, do you start with the bottom floor or do you start where the player starts? if you know what I'm asking
Thank you Sri 🥰 Your video about making a game is the best on RU-vid. I watched your entire video many times and made a game and now I want to play this game on mobile. And how to add mobile controller (joystick) in it, make a video by making further settings, I will waiting for your video.👍👍
My enemy is moving around, but it isnt detecting the player. I have the enemy tagged as "Enemy" and the player tagged as "Player" yet the enemy isnt detecting the player or chasing them, he just walks around to the waypoints
For the people who are trying this in newer version of Unity, We don't have AI navigation pre installed. You have to go to Window/Package manager/change it to Unity registry/ search AI navigation and install.
did you use navigation obsolete to bake because im getting this error: my enemy humanoid moves like he is testing at 2:13:00 but keeps resetting (pulled back to original position) and keeps doing it and doesn't stop
Can't add script component 'PlayerControll' because the script class cannot be found. Make sure that there are no compile errors and that the file name and class name match. this error still appearing even the class name and file name are the same. what should I do? thanks
Make sure that the name of the script and the script class are the same. So just do what it says and check your console if there are errors that dont go away with simply clicking clear
my enemy humanoid moves like you are testing at 2:13:00 but keeps resetting (pulled back to original position) and keeps doing it and doesn't stop, pls help
@@user1productions883 can you please make one or two levels for IGI-1 game including modeling some stuff. And bro trust me you're genius.....Love From India❤🔥
It’s very good video I like it keep it going bro but I can’t install blender I don’t know why it’s not working and I didn’t find the player controller code can you help me please

is this the reason why my enemy humanoid moves like how he is testing at 2:13:00 but keeps resetting (pulled back to original position) and keeps doing it and doesn't stop?
