I’m American and sometimes when I’m in my car alone I will scream Banzai at the top of my lungs. It’s a highly enjoyable activity, one I’m sad to learn the Japanese seem to no longer practice very widely. Yes, ten thousand years is a very long time. This is the primary use of Japanese in my everyday life. I tried pronouncing shichimi togarashi for a while but now I just call it spicy fried egg powder.
Isn't 2000 kanji the amount you have to know to be "proficient" in Japanese? Obviously there's more but that's just the amount to know to basically be fluent right?
i heard my japanese mother in law say certificate for the first time today it was beautiful xD she motions a rectangle with her hands as she says cer-tif-u-kate
@@Kk-Japan I love the way you speak and use your hands to explain things in such a Japanese way it’s so helpful to us gaijin! Such a beautiful language
