@@TrufflesOnTheRocks No, keep it as is! I think it’s shows people how good you can make something that’s not complicated simply by taking pride in your work👍🏽
Excellent video! All three looked so good - and I learned to garnish with the bottom of the pineapple leaves for their gradient colors. Also watching you drink from that bird's butt 😂
I love your channel and especially this series, because of the lazy and pro recipes. They’re great! However, I don’t quite understand why there always has to be a clarified version. Would be cool if you only include it if you think it is “better” (subjectively) then the lazy version.
Don’t get me wrong the clarification method I love such as your mojito example. But why the Big love love on clarifications when there’s plentiful other methods? Super curious :D
Hey mate! It's just for the fun of experimenting. The flavour profil of a drink changes so much when you milk wash it, I thought it would be fun to test many classics. It's just that.
Could you have clarified the cocktail with the same method you used to clarify the pineapple juice? Not sure if I'd be a fan of the milky texture of the final result, but i haven't tried it before so it's probably worth trying once.
Does anybody know how to buy the cane sugar at the store (USA). I had being looking for a bag that says raw cane sugar or cane sugar juice but i cant find it. Does it has a different name?
Want to try making your "pro" version, but all I have at home for rum is Plantation OFTD and Smith and Cross. I've used both in regular jungle birds in the past, but will they work in your version or be overpowering you think? If yes, which of them would you go for?
We have Jungle Bird on our menu. We infuse Appleton Estate 12 with fresh pineapple, then mix that with campari, lime and demerara sugar. 45ml/15ml/25ml/15ml
Love this video. One of my all time favorite cocktails. Two quick questions. How long will the clarified Pineapple Cordial last in the refrigerator? And where did you get the tripod bird glass? I can't find it in my search. Thanks!
Here's the link to the glass jakobsendesign.com/shop/lark-200-ml-bird-cocktail-glass/ The cordial will be good in the fridge about a week. Pineapple tend to ferment quite fast.
Thats the real one jakobsendesign.com/shop/lark-200-ml-bird-cocktail-glass/ But you can find cheaper alternative on Amazon like this one geni.us/Fb0lyC
Love it these!!! There is a lazy clarified(pro) version if you use Plantation Stiggins Pineapple rum ;) Did them recently using a tart passion fruit syrup instead of regular syrup and I am never going back. That extra tart/fruitiness is amazing
@@TheSpiritoftheCocktail This is the recipe I posted on instagram. Still uses Pineapple juice but I have made it without and it was great Jungle Bird (Stiggins Fancy) 1.5 oz (45ml) pineapple juice ½ oz (15ml) fresh lime juice ½ oz (15ml) passion fruit syrup ½ oz (15ml) Campari 1.5 oz (45ml) pineapple infused rum
So a good old Jungle Bird is the lazy version to you? I'd say these are respectively the REAL Jungle Bird, and two fake experimental ones for people that are more into chemistry than actually making drinks.
