Made my first wallet from just studying most of your videos and learning your ways. This video is full of details and I will definitely incorporate all the little tips you give. THANK YOU so much!
Started leather crafting because of your videos. This is so instrumental to recognizing items such as manually setting distance with single punch. It seems so simple once you explain it but it was driving me insane. A thousand thanks!
I became interested in leatherwork watching Bedo's Leatherworks channel. Then I got hooked watching the Corter channel. I think I have made 30+ wallets and 20 belts in the past 6 months. Your videos are tremendous for hobbyist leatherworkers. Thanks very much and yes, the talking videos are fantastic!
3 years ago I bought this pattern and made this wallet with some crazy horse. beautiful and has "pocket shined" into an amazing wallet that I still love
Made my first wallet a year ago. Learned from watching your videos. Leather work was something I always wanted to learn. Thank you for teaching and all the excellent advice!
What I find remarkable about this video is that it shows all of the whys and hows so quickly and calmly and how it leaves me with a sense that I could likely create a wallet by myself. Bravo.
One trick I learned from watching Hans Atelier was when he prepunched the holes for two separate pieces like you did at the end for this wallet, he used sewing needles in the holes to line up the pieces as he laid them down on each other. Seeing that honestly blew my mind the first time lol
The narrated videos are great. I like all of your videos, but hearing your thoughts as to why you make the choices you do really helps. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
This video is really well made from top to bottom. The intro is funny and efficient. The narration is free of odd speech patterns, or distracting vocal ticks . There is no irritating music or irregular sound levels. I especially enjoyed the level of detail provided and the pace of the instruction. I was impressed by the product as well. It may be the best RU-vid video I have seen all year or any year. Thank you for the fine instructional video as well as the viewing pleasure. I look forward to future videos.
The details and explanations are amazing. I'm about to start my own leather adventures and this has completely taken the edge off of my worries. Thank you for these and I hope you keep the narrated ones coming!
I have been watching your channel for about 2 years when I took an interest in leather work. The last two videos have been in the best in my opinion. Your narration gives extra quality to a tutorial style video, I think this helps tremendously for a new/beginning crafter. You can only go so far with "monkey see monkey do" it's the thought process that counts. Please keep up the excellent work. Best wishes and respect from Port Elizabeth South Africa
Wow. This video should of been titled "Leather Craft - Tips & Tricks from a Master" or something similar... I got into the hobby a few years ago. I usually put in a few hours (almost) every night, I am far from an "expert" but I am able to make some nice things if I invest enough time & effort into a project. With that said, I do constantly struggle with some very "Elementary" aspects of the hobby, such as alignment and proper hole spacing that starts and ends exactly where you would like it to. This video has a ton of excellent tips that can be applied to any project, not just wallets. Great job. Definitely going to be referring back to this a few times... Oh. and yes I prefer the verbal guidance over ASMR style. A+
I have said this before, but I will say it again. I was so happy that my favorite leather craft channel is actually making a course! I have searched for courses everywhere in platforms that I can afford in vain. Thank you so much!
This guys coaching tree is probably out of this world. I’ve been watching your videos for about 6 months now and I just ordered all my tools to start leather crafting. I can’t thank you enough for all these videos.
Thank you sir for making this wonderful for this old novice the ability to complete this project without slicing my fingers , sewing them together or getting them stuck together with glue! Thank you 🙏🏻 sir.
I really enjoy the narration. It makes your great videos even better. I have seen the majority of your videos but I learned so much more from your commentary. Thanks!!
I’m in the process of starting leather work because of this channel. One of your videos was in my recommended one morning and I loved it. Your videos makes it look so relaxing and peaceful. I have most of the tools I need. Thank you for helping some of the newly inspired diy people. Especially with covid-19 going around, people need a hobby they can do inside.
I specifically watched this video to see if you had any tips on how to get the stitching on the outside of your wallet exterior to be straight and not "wavey". And I was not disappointed. Thanks man
Absolutely brilliant! You have a really great methodology for sharing ideas and processes. Your instruction is clear and offers alternatives where possible. Very easy to follow along. Thank you for sharing this. This is just incredible!
Thank you eric. I learned a lot from you. The one thing i would like to see you cover is "Skiving" so thst wallets/clutches aren't bulky. One of my goals is a bell skiver. 😎 but for now i have a knock off Japanese knife i got from Amazon or etsy or ebay, i forget. But i didn't pay a whole lot. Be safe. I hooe all is well.
I really like the step by step instructions. I am just starting on my leather making journey. I haven't made any projects yet as I am watching instructional videos first to get some pointers. I am saving the ones I want to do so I can go back and watch them as I make them. Thank you so much for the great instructional video.
As for someone just beginning into leather working I really appreciate this kind of video. My son watched me make some leather medicine pouches and asked me to make him a wallet. So thank you for this very helpful video and can not wait to get started!
Because of your videos I just spent around $120 on all the basic supplies and some veg tan leather. It all comes in Friday I’ll tell you how it goes. Thank you!
Thanks for your effort and time editing these tutorial vids! They are so helpful! Keep it up in this narrating way, I love it. I'd love to see a tutorial with T-slots. They are an unsolved puzzle for me yet.
Great Video. The stitch spacing when you have to manually adjust it, was really well explained and before I watched this video, it was something I was unclear about. Thankyou for helping everyone with your video's.
I really like this style of video. I’ve always been able to follow along with your process but hearing you explain it adds a lot. Thanks for sharing your talents.
Adding audio to your videos takes them to a whole new level. I love your work. I'm hoping that you'll put a few of the nice bag patterns that you make on your website for purchase soon. I've made the totes last year and really liked them. Thanks again.
Great looking wallet. I do like the narration style of video because I am learning how to make leather items and I appreciate all the tips and suggestions. The quiet videos are good too but they may be for someone who is not learning but likes to watch the art of leather making. I agree lining the outside cover made the wallet a little too thick and the pocket side still has the suede side so nothing really gained.
I have a heavy duty walking foot machine I don't know if I'll ever hand stitch but this video was very informative & well explained 'camera man and editing dept. gets an A+
Wow great video. Super easy. Great to narrate it so one can follow along and understand exactly what is going on. And how things connect. Should be super easy to make a wallet now.
Narrating videos are great, imho. You're pretty much covered every major step in the process of making a wallet. I would like to see a video about the small details of making a wallet like: - How to thread a needle - How to finish Your stitch line etc.
I've been watching a lot of your videos, I'm about to make my first wallet. I've done about a dozen lighter holders and some bookmarks. The glue was the biggest trial and error for me. I've found the contact cement squeeze pens work great for controlling the amount you need.
Awesome video! Almost didn’t make it after the 15th commercial/ad though. Lol but that’s how you know it’s a bada$$ video... when u keep watching. Thanks for the vid!
I think I've found a new hobby from your videos -- I really want to get into this! I appreciate the narration, it is extremely informative. I think this wallet will be my first project. Cheers
watching this video because I suddenly got the urge to make my own wallet to replace my old one thanks a lot for this tutorial and the tips that you shared in this video. 😎👍
Thank you great tutorial. I am waiting for my tools and leather to arrive. I am looking forward to putting into practice your teachings. I hope I can make something half decent.
Stellar video, sir! In my head, I'd be thinking, "I wonder why he..." and then you'd explain it shortly after. :) I thoroughly enjoy all of your content and this format is a fantastic addition.
really like seeing the expensive tool approach vs the simple inexpensive tool approach for sanding and burnishing Refreshing to have instructions without feeling like you need $1000's in equipment. Now teach me an easy way to skive with a cheap knife, haha
Elegant work as always, and please keep this narrative style going! For some reason I can watch through these videos without background music and don't find it mundane.
