I hope this is a helpful tutorial on your lenticular journey! I’ve said this 457 times now, but I still don't know what I'm doing so please check out the additional resources to help fill in the gaps 😬
I’ll try to answer questions in the comments (if I know the answer) but feel free to help each other out as well ❤️
Also thanks to 3DMasterkit for the software for this project, couldn't have made this tutorial without it!

hi, since your first video I decided to try it, and a useful tip for those who are also going to try it, the laser printer produces a sharper print making it easier to align the print with the lenses

Hi Sam, thank you so much for this great tutorial video. I really appreciate the work you've put into it. I am trying to learn lenticular printing, and I give up (semi permanently, lol) at least once a week. Thanks also for making available the artwork. It is very helpful to use these for trying out the process. Can I ask if the advanced version worked on 50 lpi? And why you decided to print it on 40 lpi lense - what were the advantage and disadvantages between the lenses? Many thanks 😊

You're welcome, it's definitely a tough project so hopefully it helps some people get through a few of the challenges. I had the same experience with my same video of giving up a lot, but I'm sure you'll be able to do it! Great questions! What printer are you using? I hope I didn't completely discourage anyone from trying the advanced version, it's definitely usable in a lot of setups, including 50 lpi. I just didn't feel as confident in the final result, and how untested it was. I did do a couple 50 lpi prints that I don't think I ever showed, but I think I deleted 2/3rds of the frames (so that the images go 1,4,7,10...etc), that way you end up with 12 frames, just like the mustang, but a similar car animation. I didn't mention this in the tutorial (there was a lot I ended up editing out so that it wasn't 2 hours long haha) but in terms of advantages, the 50 lpi has a slightly smaller viewing angle than the 40 lpi. That's why I ended up choosing the 40 lpi for the N-Vision design, but in the end, I felt like it didn't make a massive difference, and if I could do it over again, I would probably just do everything with the 50 lpi. Also even though I used an Epson for this whole project, an HP would work really well with all of these numbers (50 lpi, and either 12 or 36 frames)

Many thanks for the detailed response, Sam. I use an Epson EcoTank printer, tired your templates on both 50 and 75 lpi lenses, and was happy with results. Once again your tutorial was excellent and so well put together. Thank you.

@pop-upcardmaker That makes me so happy to hear!!! That’s awesome that you made the 75lpi work as well, I haven’t tried that one! Which lens did you like the look of better?

@@sam-beige250 lpi worked the best, 75 lpi looks clearer but the movement wasn't great as it cuts off. The blue car on 50 lpi was nice. The advance version only worked when I reduced the frames using 50 lpi.

How did you figure out the optimal camera angles in blender?
@sam-beige2
@sam-beige2 Месяц назад
It was some trial and error, but they’re far from optimal. I think I started with the viewing angle of the lens and made a few adjustments from there
