I totally love the "bowties" used as a visible part of the table , this is the best use of it I have seen....the table is fantastic.

In an age when economy is more important to the customer than craftsmanship, having tools that help speed up the process while doing an excellent job without sloppy deviations is important to regulating costs!.. Great video, thanks for sharing! The one thing I have found very therapeutic for over 45 years in the business is making my own animal hide/bone glues. As a teen I found a hand written journal of a woodworker in France from the mid 15th C and it contained animal glue recipes…cow, pig, fish scales, sheep, EVERYTHING! The anonymous author must have experimented or spent many years finding the right ingredients. And they were meticulous in recording it. I find it so relaxing to empty the shop and set up the glue kitchen and spending my two week annual vacation making the glues, finishes and paints that the shop will use for the next year. It is better than a cruise with obnoxious people who can’t stop talking! When you have something you do really well…there is nothing more enjoyable than doing it over and over again for many years.

Two dedicated craftsmen are well & truly on display here. The finished product is absolutely stunning. Great video. This is exactly what I want for a table. We have huge pine trees on our property that need to be cut down and this is what I want to use for a table and possibly a coffee and end table set. I'd love to see a video on how you make dovetails. Smart, clever and well done. The band saw jig is very iteresting. And Festools are absolutely worth every penny I've spent on them. The vacume system alone is worth the price paid to save my lungs. I might suggest that if you find yourself doing this again, that a little router plane, a #6 plane and a shooting board could be very useful additions to your work. Cheers
