In this video I show you how to make a machine gun bass in Sytrus.
I've been getting a lot of requests for the preset--I lost the original one but I followed the video and remade it again. Here's the preset:

In case you may have missed it in the description, here is the preset if you're having trouble! Thank you! I'm with you on that, this bass is basically how I make reese basses, but I control it by directly manipulating phase rather than the frequency, which yields a slightly different timbre, and when it's distorted, it gives a really neat movement that resembles a sort of rumbly gun sound. I use the FM to shape the timbre of the sound further, but you could do that with post processing as well.

hey, you might not see this but i need the preset because 1. i suck at following directions because of my stupid conditions, and 2. i am having trouble. so could i have the preset?

Yeah it's a harder sound, and I didn't realize that randomizing the square harmonics would result in slightly different timbres. i ve just copied all your setup but sounds like noisy synthesator... what am i doing wrong? :( can you do all of this from the beginning? maybe you use some automatisations (except mod x)?

So the main concept of this sound is rotating the phase of one sine wave against another to generate phase cancellation on command. This affects whatever signal is playing along with it in the synth. Few questions: 1. Are you playing in the bass register? 2. Are you rotating the phase of one sine wave using mod X or Y?

@@Xenowave as i understood, main problem was on wrong root note... in FL its C5, but for this preset its C9, so when i pressed note on your screen i receive screamy synth instead of tearout sound...

Yeah I set all of my bass sounds to C9 for my root note so I can play it on my computer keyboard easier whilst designing a sound.

@@RYBO__ Either play it in the 1st octave on the piano roll, OR go to the wrapper settings of the plugin and right click C9 to make it the new root note so you can play the bass notes on your keyboard.
