This circuit has some flaws, it will be very unstable. Take note that is may or may not work. Some may be able to make it work. There are metal detector circuits on the internet that are working properly. Please take note the first stage of the circuit (transistor and buzzer) is wired wrong. Also, the soldering makes the circuit very unstable. Source: over 35 years of electronic engineering.

Hello, I've made this metal detector with 2 changes. 1) i didn't get 100nf (100v) capacitor. So i used 100nf (160v) capacitor. 2) i made coil with 0x, 22x, 72x windings. But now metal detector keeps buzzing all time. Are those changes that i made is the problem for it keeps buzzing all time? Please suggest an edit. Thanks

Ok so I made it and it kinda worked.. the range was half of what shown in the video but other than that the potentiometer was doing nothing... note that if it continuously beeps and the pot does nothing... you should change the position of the wires from the coil to work...if anybody can help me solve this problem.. I would really appreciate it..
