Hi hotties!!!!!!! Today I’m going to be showing y’all how to make a mini dress on the sentro knitting machine! This tutorial is intermediate friendly and you will need to know how to use the knitting machine, as well as how to do a half double crochet stitch beforehand.

Just a thought, if you want to make this larger, you could have the original design with front and back panels, and then have ribbon or something like that down the sides. Not sure if I'm explaining it well, but I've seen some people make dresses like this and they look pretty cute :)

Love it! Just fyi, it’s actually possible to make a 45 st panel on the sentro! For me, I end up losing pins 1, 2 and 48. Also, when using waste yarn you don’t have to manually pull the work off your machine, you can just crank another round (so 2 rounds total) and it should pop off on its own 🙂

Wow really great video. I've been wanting to learn how to sew and knit my own clothes. I came across this machine on Amazon but I didn't know you can make clothing out of it. Would I be able to make a cardigan out of this machine? I'm assuming I would still need to learn how to knit and crochet for some parts?

yes!!! It would be slightly more advanced, but you can do decreases starting from the center point of the front panel to for a V, it would require taking half the stitches off the machine though!!!

Omg nooo I’m sorry!!! I undid the first couple of slip stitches, then put a stitch marker in every stitch of the last row of the body yarn, then undid the bind off and put all of the stitches back on the machine!! I show how to put stitches back on the machine in my Valentine’s Day dress video and my newest pants video!!

Thank you for this video. I am a knitter and have quite a big stash of DK and Worsted weight animal fibre yarn (sheep, alpaca). Due to health issue, I can not hand knitting that much anymore. I am contemplating in purchasing this Sentro knitting machine, but hesitant because I read many recommendation of yarn to use with this machine, and all of them recommend acrylic yarn. However, it looks like you have no problem using sheep wool yarn with this machine, am I correct? Please advise 🙏🏻

Hi!! I have no problem at all, in fact I've found it much easier to use than acrylic yarn. A DK weight yarn with a little stretch it the best yarn in my experience. Good luck!!

You can pull them up and put them back on the machine with a crochet hook!!! I would recommend searching for a tutorial on yt to help visualize

It appeared you cast on. The white peg. But moving forward it looks like it was shifted. I suppose it doesn’t matter as long as you have the desired amount in your row, right?

this happens when you cast on in the panel setting!!! the machine always drops the first few stitches but sticks to stitch 2 or 3 (I can't remember exactly which one lol)

this might sound dumb but i just completed my first body panel with 196 rows & i don’t know if it’s bc i’m 5 feet tall or what but i held it up to myself & it seems wayyyyy too long, is there any way to make the panel i made shorter without redoing it? :’)

not dumb at all!!! It could be a bit long since I'm 5'9", but when the dress stretches it shrinks quite a bit (my dress looks like it's knee length until I put it on!!) but you can make it shorter by finding the row you want to shorten it to, then placing a single crochet in every stitch of that row! then you can unwind the yarn to that point. I hope that makes sense! it's the same technique as the waste yarn removal process I show in the video!

@Lily Foubisou i have one more question if you don't mind!! when you go to slip stitch the pieces together, do you skip a stitch or two on the body panel so that it lines up in the end? or do you stretch the body panel as well so that each stitch on the sleeve has a corresponding stitch on the body? i hope that makes sense 😭❣️

@@kaelyn5541 No worries!!!! I hope I'm understanding this right, but the body panel is longer than the sleeves so there will naturally be more slip stitches on the body panel than the sleeve when you're slip-stitching all the pieces together

I mean i love the tutorial but removing the waste yarn is not help at all, sorry if you speeding it’s hard to see exactly what to do or how to place fingers and for example to “chain” it, fair enough but how do we “chain” Beside that I loved the video and final result
