One thing about this footage puzzled me: You usually show EVERY detail, but here you didn't demonstrate how you made the complex, precise bends in the internal wire. Could you PLEASE show us that in another video?

But I went back through MANY of your lure-making videos and did at last find one that showed the entire wire-bending process: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8gFZCdZoEWM.html (minute 4:02) It might be good, however, to tell viewers like me precisely what pliers you use to bend the wire; that seems to be important to achieving the right bends. great videos haru, really really good. your channel is amazing. I think there is a mistake in your pencil template. It says 6mm balsa wod but i think you have used 8mm balsa wood in trhis one. thank you for your videos. Keep on going! cheers

Haru can you please tell me what the size of these split shots is. You say it's around 2.3. It's American unit I suppose. what is it ? #5 is 2.56 grams/water gremlin, and small one is BB size 0.56 grams/ water gremlin. Its hard to find american unit split shots in Europe.
Thank you for your message. Sorry for the delay in replying. My guess is that there are two different weights for the No-5 size of Water-gremlin. On the US website, the No-5 size is listed as weighing 2.54 grams, and the one I bought in Japan 10 years ago had the same weight. However, strangely enough, about five years ago, weights of about 2.3 grams began to circulate in Japan. And now only 2.3 grams can be found. I do not know why the weight of the water gremlins sold in Japan differs from that in the U.S., but hopefully the grams will be standardized.
Thank you very much. This lure is drilled with about 8mm and 7mm holes. However, the optimal hole diameter varies from builder to builder. Therefore, I think it is best to decide the size of the hole according to the situation.
Thank you for your message. Sorry for the delay in answering. I have never made a lure out of plywood and pine, but I have made one out of cypress. I was able to make this Pencil Bait successfully by adding about 1 to 1.5 grams of weight in the tail, and about 0.3 grams in the front.

Hello anas, Thanks for your question. The reason why the pencil bait is printed large is probably due to the printer settings. Please use the ruler at the bottom of the template as a guide to set your printer and print. I am making a prototype of a small sinking minnow, However, I think it will take some time to complete.

What is the length of the lure body template?. This lure template has a body length of about 72 mm (about 2.8 inches). If the sizes are different, try changing the settings on your printer.

I've never used basswood, so I don't know the details, but I think it probably won't works. This bait was prototyped using the balsa wood, so if it were made of basswood, the lure action might be different.

In most cases, attaching a hook will solve this problem, but if the lure still sit on the side after attaching the hook, the following are possible causes. *One side of the lure body has been shaved off too much, and the left and right sides are not balanced evenly. *The hole for the lure weight (or rattle ball) is too deep on one side. *It's rare, but it is also possible that the hook and the lure are not balanced properly. Lure manufacturers have a lineup of hooks of various shapes and weights, so depending on the hooks you attaching, you may not be able to maintain the balance of the lure. I think you can solve the problem of the lure sit on side by making the shape and buoyancy of the lure equal on each side when viewed from the front.
