Hi Mary, yes you can but the only difference is a size 4 is will make a very tiny bag. So Mary if you are now deciding to buy the 4mm I would advise to get the size 8 ok I hope that helps Thanks

Hi Donna, so sorry to hear that I’m sure it isn’t the quality one you get. I bought mine from JOANNS stores they are online too. But even if you don’t want to use gold beads any more pearls too are good alternatives or 6 mm crystal bead they come in different colors just buy the color you want in size 6mm to use instead okay I hope that helps Thanks for your support .
