I am genuinely still in shock that Toy companies never tried to make a fully Movie accurate Woody doll, or the other toys for a matter of fact Like, they're already toys, it should be common sense people want them to look like the supposed toys in the films.
Yeah I wish but the reality is they never made this. So we the fans had to take matters into our own hands and make it ourselves. I hope one day we can get an official one but for now this is all we can do.

Cool custom. I also like the leather-like texture seen on the hat, belt, and boots, it gives it a more rough, old-fashioned look to it and goes hand in hand with Woody’s overall design.
Zedabyu had a really great suggestion for the holster. He says to go where the Jeans are and cut off the pegs from the inside and the belt will come out. I was trying for hours just to get the belt off and I came across his tutorial and once I did that Woody’s belt came off and I didn’t have to damage his jeans.
20:25 Well it does mean cutting inside your woody, inside where the actual fluff is there’s a Fastener that you could sort of unclamp with the gator grips. That way you can get the belt off clean without having to cut the belt so you could use it for something else.
for the belt buckle, there should be two fasteners inside the body securing it, you may have to cut the lining on the inside to access them, but it won't show or affect the outside of the doll
Hey again! Long time no comment! Very glad to see there has been a lot of improvements in the resources available to making these things more accurate. The upgrade items in this video are awesome! The only two things I'll say is that while the pearl buttons definitely look a lot fancier and made of much nicer materials than the ones the toy comes with, the plastic buttons still look more accurate to me. Even in your screenshot comparison, the silver ring on the buttons is much thicker. The other is just a nitpick, but since I've heard it a few times in a few different videos, what Al says is "If only you had your hand-stitched, poly-vinyl..." Poly-vinyl is the material that the hat is made out of, like a sort of plastic, he wasn't referring to the stitching itself :P. He's basically saying "where is your plastic had with hand stitching?". His head still feels a little off to me, mainly in the jaw area, but it's crazy how close we're getting, especially now that people are finally doing the lines on his eyebrows! Looking forward to future iterations!
I know how to remove the belt buckle, all you have to do is go into the Velcro on the back and the bag thing that is holding the voice box cut the bottom of the inside fabric not the showing fabric then, there is a little “clip “ thing then pry it off and presto you have the belt off without destroying the buckle. Ps, sorry if this is difficult to understand it is a bit hard for me to understand 😅 edit: opps forgot to read other comments hehe I didn’t realize people already said this, probably should have expected that 😅😂
I had a Woody in '98-'99. I cant remember which brand it was but it was a gift from cousin of mine, who was a flight stewardess. Although this woody was between 20-30cm tall and it had a lot of movie accurate details, if my nostalgia serves well. It didn't have the ring thing, you had to push Woody's torso for him yo speak. I'd give a kidney to find one of these (and the other one to get one of these movie accurate custom Woodies). Great video man! Keep it up!
2 things: First, a Belt tip. There is a fastener inside of woody's body. You'll have to cut the fabric inside of Woody. 2: Please use the UK Mattel Woody for TS3 for a potential Woody 4.0?
there's actually this old 2010 woody, it's by mattel, the body is really accurate, but the head on it is smaller than the toy story collection one, so the head would look a bit weird
One thing I still need for a truly movie accurate Woody, is the whole rag doll element. In the movies his limbs are flopping all over the place, but every replica has kinda stiff limbs. I guess it'll come over time, since Woody was vintage in the movies. So that'll be your next step. Wear that thing out. ;p
Yes my Woody 2.0 is so broken in and worn it’s very rag doll. I bought that one very used condition though. This new one will just need me to stretch it out and move so with time like breaking in a new hat or glove he will get more worn in.I just love he was brand new from box which so rare for a real denim jeans Mexico or Brazil woody!
I was going for the Woody I always wanted and the toy company never made right so I had to do it for me and the Toy Story community to see what is possible with hard work and creative vision. It payed off cause now I have the dream movie accurate Woody I always wanted in my collection.
I have the original Disney woody and it has the open fingers. The reasons they stopped including it was because they break if you slam the hand against something
Hey today grew up I don't know if you remember me but I am a very big fan watching every movie accurate video I can and I love watching woody and buzz reviews and when I see you upload a video like this it brings excitement and sometimes tears of joy are dropped from my eyes seeing the best things you can make and I wanted to tell you to keep up the good work and keep entertaining us like you always do. I know it might be just to reduce costs but it’s mind boggling how one person makes a character more accurate compared to a multibillion dollar company.
In my opinion 2.0 was perfectly movie accurate with the faded jeans and shirt just like in the movie he had play use and best of all the leather isn't too dark like 3.0 and 3.5 just swap it out with the 3.5 head and you got the perfect Woody maybe do the loose holster mod with a dremel to widen the hole that buckles it on and it'll swing more naturally then you will have the perfect movie accurate Flawless Woody you should give it a try or something at least considered today I grew up cuz that would be my dream movie accurate one honestly I get that you're going for Toy Story 2 by the way my favorite of them all too but for Toy Story 1 accuracy I get another one of those heads and just simply swap it out with 2.0 perfectly Toy Story 1 Movie accurate don't you agree
i actually have that rare woody it was on clearance at walmart my grandma bought it and i still have it it has alot of scracthes and maekings but that what makes it special
I downloaded a movie accurate woody head from Thingiverse I got a 3D printer for Christmas last year and It’s a tad bigger than thinkway toys collection head but I feel like it’s the perfect size because of the hat it fits and sits on his head

When i was youger i automatically removed, cutted the paper tag thing thats on Woodys body like the thing that says its illegal and stuff because it was ugly you know i was not letting that there but then i started to panic i told my mom i was crying i was just so scared 💀
I noticed here. The vest and tags on the cloud version are sewn together with the body. on other versions, the tags are hidden under the vest and the vest itself is removable.
The body I’ll be using is Takara Tomi Talking Woody 2020 no idea if it’s true jeans but the vest size is perfect and not insanely large like Signature and Cloud USA version
I just managed to get myself a Signature Collection Buzz and Woody, 2nd hand, from a guy who needed the money and literally cried when I took them off his hands (in what was probably his "So long, partner." moment). He didn't let them go for cheap, either. As much as I'd like to mod them, out of respect for the guy who took care of them, and for the money I've paid, I'm holding off for now. That said, your vids are reeeeealllly tempting me.
Wow that’s really sad. I think if I saw that I’d just let the guy keep it but it sucks cause sometimes people are in economic hardship so I also get that. Well yeah in your situation I wouldn’t modify those and find another body to use for that. Glad you got them, still though that’s such a sad story for the guy selling them.
@@todayigrewup well to clarify, he wasn't exactly in economic hardship, but needed capital to start a business, deciding to kick the collecting hobby for good, and sold his entire collection. Didn't make it any less sad, it was clear he'd rather keep them if he could. The funny thing was as I was driving away, *THEN* my sister takes Woody out of the box and use him to wave goodbye Ala Bonnie to Andy. And the result was truly one of those Where Girls Cried vs. Where Men Cried memes.
this is cool dude i really like the movie version of the woody doll from the movie even though i don't have a movie version woody but i still love my woody doll the way it is cause it don't need to be like the movie but my woody doll is very special i have him since i was 9 year old i play with him lot growing up unstill my teenage year between 12 through 18 when i stop playing with him i still care about him it hard to move on but i have to grow up and i care for my toys like andy from toy story my toys are part of my childhood but my childhood day are over but they will always be part my heart
