How to make a Music Bot for your Discord. (FREE) 

I just want to leave a quick note, to thanks everybody for the tremendous support and love I got from this video. Not even counting in the fact that this video got an outstanding 164,417 Views with nearly 2,000 Likes, I constantly get plenty of kind comments and people happy with their brand new music bot! (Im currently thinking of making a video on some solutions to problems or questions people have, like this comment if you want something like that) again thank you guys, and have a nice day!

I found a successful way to make it stop playing random songs in the beginning. MusicBot-master > MusicBot-Master > config > autoplaylist.txt Edit the file (not necessarily in notepad++, can be default notepad) and empty it, leaving the notepad file completely empty. When you start the music bot, it will say: "Warning: Autoplaylist is empty, disabling." Success :)

For those that have the error with the bot saying Python isnt installed. Download this version of python or windows: www.python.org/ftp/python/3.5.2/python-3.5.2-webinstall.exe For Mac: www.python.org/ftp/python/3.5.2/python-3.5.2-macosx10.5.pkg

FOR PEOPLE WHO HAD PROBLEMS!! Ok so first I did all the steps and nothing happened. Just to let people know I did this and it worked: Do the options thing like he did if you don't see .ini don't worry mine didn't say it either but don't type .ini what mine actually did is when I ran python it automatically made a options file and told me to edit it. So just make a folder named options (lower case) I download 3.5.3 Python not the new version (I click on windows and use the bit version of my computer (64) and used the one that said Windows x86-64 web-based installer) Extract it then I made sure I clicked add path and just click the recommended install button (If you custom install I believe you have to download everything they have clicked make sure you have pip at least but, to make it easier just click the recommended install one on the top it didn't give me a virus or anything like that) Once that was done I did the steps just as he did but, ( I don't remember if he did this or not) there was actually a second folder named permissions so I did it in that one and not the example permissions one. Also, you need to make sure it says at the end of the downloading on the black and white text screen it says "I hope it all works" or something like that like he said. Then close it and open it if the run bot black and white text window is not on the bot will not do anything it may be online but it will not play music. After I did that everything else worked just as he did and everything he did before worked for me. Extra Mentions: Make sure you download notepad ++ You have too Make sure you do the step carefully I had to restart about 3 or 4 times because I messed up so it might take some playing with to get it right It does work don't give up you guys got this!! To Awperations: Thank you for the video man it was very detailed and it eventually did work for me. I hope this comment helps people for stuff they might of missed that you said and might of accidentally left out. Thank you!

Hey your video is rly nice! But i cant figure out why when i open runbot the sys32 window just briefly appears (like 0.5sec) then dissapears, then nothing. I did copy the token and ID in the options.ini and downloaded Pyhton .. any suggestions ?

Hi there! First of all I wanted to thank you for the awesome video, it worked smoothly! I have a quick question tho! Is there a way to make other members of the group be able to run the runbot from their PC without messing up the settings I did? I'll be leaving for a while and would love the other guys to be able to run the bot. Will they be able to (like, was we add their ID codes to the settings as well without ruining it) or will they have to create a new bot? I hope you have a great day! Again, thank you! :)

it worked for me the first time i started it and it also played music. but the next day when i wanted to start it again it sayd syntax error. some1 pls help

What if it says: An error has occured: Problem: Bot cannot login, bad credentials. Solution: Fix your Email or Password or Tokwn in thw options file. Remember that each field should be on their own line. Unclosed client session client_session: I dont know what i did wrong because i followed every step. Thx for the help

I might be being an idiot, but when I try to run the bot it say I have my ID and my bot token mixed up, but I did the same thing you did so what am I doing wrong?

when i try to open the runbot it says "ERROR: Python has either not been installed or not added to your PATH. Press any key to continue . . ." i have it installed and its working idk whelp plz.

Jo when i try the !play command, i get an error: ERROR: Signature extraction failed

I got it done!!! but whenever I close the "run bot. bat" file to make the bot appear the bot goes away -_-

When I click on runbot.bat even doing it as admin, it opens for about 1 second and closes with no text on the box. Anyone know any solutions?

This is very useful! Thank you for making this video but I have a problem: The bot keeps downloading musics and eventually the music folder will take a lot of space. Is there a way to make the folder delete files automaticaly like every 2 days?

Whenever i try to play a song i get this display message (even though i change the perms to my id #) >The bot is not in a voice channel. Use !summon to summon it to your voice channel.

When opening the "black window" it says "Resquested Python version (3.5) not installed.... and I have installed the latest version.... the 3.6.... fuck my life...

heya.. works great. only that, is there any way to make all users in the group able to control the bot? as in, everyone can queue songs and pause etc.. i've tried to copy their ID and paste it in permission file. but it doesnt work. help?

Hey dude, great tutorial. However, I followed all of the steps, but when the bot comes online and joins my voice channel, it's muted. I've tried everything from setting the volume to 100% and even creating a whole new bot, but it still stays muted. Then, when I try to play a song, it acknowledges that I inputted a music video and it'll say it's "up next" but it never starts. Help please?

This is great, but can you stop the music playing, or do you just have to kick the bot from the voice channel?

At 7:15 when you copy the options file, my original "example_options" doesn't have ".ini" at the end, so the copy I make doesn't either. When I type it in manually in the copied version and then open it up with Notepad++, it has the same error/warning messages as when I open it with regular Notepad. How do I get the .ini at the end of the file name?

When I open runbot.bat the command prompt opens but the text isn't the same as what you're getting. I tried to complete the process anyways, but after I finish all the steps it won't work... I'm not really sure what I'm doing wrong, I have python and notepad++ both installed, so...

I got lost at 5:50, when I open config there isn't the options you are talking about, only autoplaylist.txt, blacklist.txt, example_options.ini, example_permissions.ini and whitelist.txt. Where did I go wrong?

Nice video, I think I am almost there, I followed all the steps to the end, but it didn't go active so I assume that is because the runbot.bat didn't work. When I open with Textedit (cause Im on mac) it says python not installed or put into PATH, does that give you any clue to help me. If you do that would be highly appreciated.
