That was the right choice with the rocks and griffin. It looks like the sun is creating a golden spotlight on the magnificent ruler of the rock spires. I love this!
I like how the colour scheme turned out. The griffin looks as though they belong there and the warrior looks as though he's the invader. Very, very nice.
You could make a “prequel” to the WIW with conquistadors encountering a feathered serpent kind of creature in Mexican jungle. Like a semi-sentient monster that might have been an inspiration for Quetzalcoatl.
Sometimes a thumbnail can be deceptive, in that there’s nothing in the video better than the thumbnail. But not the case with Boylei. He starts with a stunning thumbnail…and then everything gets better from there!! Love this so much!!
I like the color scheme, it's like it's in it's natural habitat somehow. Hiding in it, ready to strike and spread it's wings to show it's Majestic glow and let the prey know it's done for. The music used at the end was very nice to!!
Can we all just acknowledge the serious dedication that this RU-vidr has for his fan-base? Willingly knowing that he was going on a trip, he filmed the subsequent video AHEAD OF TIME! Add to that, the amazing work of this diorama, and that easily makes @Boylei Hobby Time, my most favourite mini painter EVER! Keep up the great work!
This is such an amazing build as always, man! Thank you for the shoutout. I have learned so much about carving rocks from your channel. Carving diorama rocks is one of my favorite things to do!
This is fascinating, Boylei! So much action packed into such a small space! I hope that in addition to your Wild Imaginary West, that you will treat us to more Gladiator-themed projects in the near future. (By my count, you have 13 Gladiator figures left to work with.) My like is in the 2.4Ks.
Great video as always. As of late I've been admiring your ability to make a relatively simple diorama extremely effective through great composition and posing. I can't see a Griffin without thinking of the WC3 Gryphon Rider.. I've been planning to make SC2 sculpts (Zealot) but maybe I should think of a WC3 one also!
The rocks did look gorgeous before the repaint, but I can totally see how they would've clashed with the griffin's delicate paint job. It turned out amazing though, you really outdid yourself with that plumage!
There is no way that monster fit so perfectly there by accident, surely! You must have spent quite a lot of time getting that gap and those rocks placed just perfectly because it looks amazing!
Greetings & salutations, I just started following your page a few months ago. I find your work stimulating & sublime, I used to do diorama's back in the day, (I'm 65 yrs old) & recovering from stage 3 prostate cancer, I'm feeling the call of model building & just wanted t say, thank you. Looking forward to seeing more of your work.
Make the Romagical Empire the canonical precursor to the wild imaginary west, a transition period between the two, of swordsmen using electric charging would be a cool concept and way to connect these two themes in your dioramas
The diorama model building community on RU-vid is by the far the most welcoming, supportive and kind on the platform. (I know this because ASMR used to be, years ago and now it's very competitive, katty and filled with clickbait)
I didn’t mind the tan rocks but they did look a little more…epic creature throne before it was added. Regardless they look freaking awesome now! I love the spikey, pointy look they have one the edges. I hope your trip went well!
I’m continually blown away that you manage to make a gorgeous diorama and video every week. Your mini painting progress is also impressive- your background in fine arts is definitely coming out to play!
Found your channel recently and I've already subscribed! Videos are incredibly enjoyable and something I really like about your videos is that you have a relaxing vibe but not in the way that I'm bored. So I can watch your videos before I go to sleep or just during the day and both works, haven't found many channels that are versatile like that.
At 6:51 that was just a pure comedy relatable moment. It pratically came out of nowhere from the peaceful scenery. "I got a little carried away." 'Smacks lips' "Which often happens."
Another great video as usual. Your painting skills were already very good when you started this channel however they are out of this world at this point ( not to mention your production and editing skills- which are on another level as well). Thank you for again sharing your talents. Best hobby channel out there in my book.
Funnily enough, I’m painting that same griffin miniature in my own time!! Mine is a blue Jay and a cougar tho lol. Very cool to see one of my fav diorama dudes painting the same miniature as me! It’s like a little piece of those immaculate Boylei Hobby Time vibes will be with me in my room, even when it’s not Sunday! :)
As someone with ADHD I find it hard to concentrate on videos for too long, constantly switching from one to another before they end. Your videos are the only ones I watch to the end, as I like them so much.
Always enjoy your creations. "The Griffin" is the name of an olde Englishe pub in the deeps of the countryside not far from where I live. My dad took me there when I was a boy on some wonderous summer evening. I always remember as we sat outside the pub sign which had a griffin painted on it looking fierce and mysterious in the warm light. I grew up believing in these strange myths and creatures thinking that they were out there in the deep woods. Like I always believed Arthur and his knights were out there somewhere too. 👍
