That story is beautiful, like your sea glass, and so is your zine. As I mentioned before, I can draw, but I struggle with lettering, so I was admiring your strong, even lettering. Nothing, and no-one, is ever truly lost.

What a lovely message, thank you so much. Lettering is the one thing with "drawing" that I don't fuss so much about because I'm a writer. Lol. Still working on everything else though. 😂😂😂

In my opinion, sea glass is as beautiful as any of our planet’s precious gems! Lovely story, Helen. Thank you for sharing so much of your current creative path. I find your videos appealing as well as comforting. Big hugs to you! ❤

What a thing! I have never even seen let alone owned, a spherical piece of seaglass!

Hi Helen: Great story! I love when you add illustrations. Your story flowed nicely. I made a fabric zine and each page had different fabrics and slow stitched pieces with stamped sentiments. Really fun way to reflect on things that mean something to you. Thank you for sharing. 💜😎🇺🇸

That was both heart-breaking and heart-warming. I can relate to your story, regarding lost and found objects, memories, feelings, passions, health and so many more. Thank you for sharing. May you have a happy new year. Wishes from Hellas (Greece)

Ah, I certainly didn't mean to break anyone's heart, but I do understand what you mean. I'm glad at least that you are able to relate to my story after experiencing similar themes in your life. I hope it makes you feel less alone with those experiences. ❤️

@@journalingplanet Yes💙, it does help, not because others have also suffered but because others can understand where you are coming from.

This idea and story immediately generated tears. I have just experienced a loss and although it is all so raw at the moment, I will create a zine NOW and place it blank, in my journal as a reminder for when my thoughts are clearer. The promise from your story reminds me of a bible verse Ecclesiastes 11:1. I know it is not exactly the same meaning but I do believe peace and joy WILL return to me if I persist in processing my grief rather than suppressing it. Bless you big time my dear ❤‍🩹

I am so sorry that you are going through a bereavement. It's the one inevitability and the one thing our society does little - if anything - to prepare us for. I think it's a very good idea to create a blank zine now and have it ready for your thoughts when they are clearer. This event happened nine months after my husband died and I am in no way done with processing it all. But being part of this wonderful artistic community sure helps and encourages me to find ways to turn the pain into art. ❤️
