@@JoshsShop turned out a modified style and a butterfly style out of cherry, for a first go they turned out ok! Per usual if I didn’t chase every imperfection they probably would have turned out great. The butterfly pattern will sleep even! Thanks for the inspiration!
Great inspirational video and some nice throwing at the end -- thank you for posting. Have you tried turning a yoyo in two halves with an independent axle?
Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it. I have done several where I turn the halves and they have a separate axle. I will have to make a video of that some day soon.
They are fun. The trickiest part of making them, aside from having balanced sides, is getting the gap just right. Too big and it never returns, too small and the yoyo doesn't sleep. It took me a bit to get it just where I like it. I hope it turns (or turned) out great.
