thank you soo much, when i was 6 i learned the granny knot on my won and thought i was a genius, but then i opened my mind to knots and realized how tiny and stupid i was. i used this to make a cord for a talisman i made for my friend, i had learned this braid before and needed a helpful refresher. THANKS!

I just finished it,according to your instructions 10cm long keychain.I used 5mm thick two-coloured polyester cord,which was not so pendable so to make the knots thight it required some extra force.PS I have seen this kind of thing made by using electric wires,they can also be used.Greetings from Finland !

thanks for your help i am learning to make paracord things while i am on disability, this worked out fine for me my bracelets are all a size too big or a size too small. Easy to follow steps and you can get better at the ums and uhs jut takes time and practice.

+Hansboy, cheers for the tutorial. I just made my first paracord item. It's slightly wonky with a few loose bits but I'm quite happy with it. Good video, thanks again for the time and effort. Regards Kael.

Good job, just have one suggestion for you, why don't you put the keyring from the beginning instead of the screwdriver?

for some reason when I made this it turned out round not square ... I made sure all parts were tight as I wove it but it came out circular ... any ideas why ?
@tyrellmcleod-adolph2907
@tyrellmcleod-adolph2907 5 лет назад
I've noticed it's because the cord is twisted, this causes the circular shape

Do you remove the string from the inside of the paracord? I didn't and I cant get mine to look as good as everybody elses.
@Koalavo
@Koalavo 9 лет назад
NONO if you do then theres no point in any paracord projectts, you just have to keep practicing for a equal and good braid. You will get the hang of it

what the heck lol whenever i do this it comes out round not square, what am i doing wrong?
@BiohazardSleay
@BiohazardSleay 9 лет назад
You may be using a different type of paracord, some types stay in a round shape no matter how you bend it and some form edges and create the square shape... even then if you don't tighten it enough the paracord won't form to the new shape.

two feet isn't going to do anything for you in a survival situation
@hansubabI
@hansubabI 8 лет назад
+Miranda Tanner This wasn't made for survival. This lanyard is for easy retrieval and looks if lanyards are your thing. If you wanna make something for survival, I figure you could easily use more cordage, but I think a different weave would be better altogether.
@PirateDest
@PirateDest 8 лет назад
Its enough to make a loop for a makeshift splint.....
@davidbabin387
@davidbabin387 8 лет назад
+Miranda Tanner ...If you are looking for lots of cordage, and quick access to the cordage, I would suggest that you look at the quick deploy weaves here on youtube. You can find lanyards, and bracelets that are weaved in a half hitch design, instead of a knotted design, which when cordage is needed you simply pull on one end and the bracelet or lanyard comes apart and instantly you have all the cordage you used in the making there in seconds and no unknoting is needed.......most of these fobs, bracelets, and lanyards, are decorative or fashionable weaves, and are not really meant for survival situations. But, more and more, weavers are coming up with weaves that are truly survivalist or weaves for carrying around extra cordage which can be utilized in seconds..

Please stop posting videos. They make me feel dumb when trying to tie knots. You take it beyond "dumbing" it down, to making me feel as if I'm watching a video shown in special ed classes
