I heard the same thing about the gold thread. My friend recommended using a thread stand away from your machine. It totally worked! It had something to do with it allowing the thread to "unwind". Thank you for posting this video.

You make your party hats just like I do. Only thing different is I don't use felt on the inside of hat. Thats a good idea for extra stability. Love your hat design.

So stinking cute! Have you tried wrapping the fabric around the card stock and then gluing the felt over it so the fabric edges are hidden under felt? Wondering if it would look lumpy?

You could use staples to hold the hat closed and then put a ribbon over them to hide them.

There's a liquid called Goo Gone that you can use to clean the hoop. I got it from Amazon and it takes that glue off fast. That hoop looks disgusting specifically when you are placing a garment on it and recording a video. Clean it up.

Katherine Moore yes you can use htv but make sure to use the heat press if you go with htv
