I am so happy I am able to help you in your creation. I know that your Pinata will be even more special to your son. I wish you and your family a wonderful and safe 1st Birthday!!
You have posted a very helpful video on youtube. I thank you very much for this how to video. Thanks to you I now know how to create a very professional looking pinata. You are very talented. I am now going to create one for my son's 1st birthday party this saturday. Peace to you and your family. HOTEP.
Sheena i usually put 3 or 4 layers of each color, but if the foreground color needs to be more narrow then you can put as little as one. Two layers would give the color a more dramatic look. Oh!, I'm sure your Ninja Turtle will be Stunning. Thanks Sheena
Congratulations it looks like u make good money I am thinking to do the same we have 3 children and one on the way and the money from my husband's job is not enough we barely make it for rent an food.
Im in the process of trying to make one of these awesome pinatas. Just a hint : they tell u to make the panels circular.. I cut the panels then wrapped them around a baseball bat a few times. Now i would love to know how long n wise to make my stripes of tissue paper
To make the Braid for the face of the pinata. I took some party streamer rolls and taped the 3 streamers to a book shelf and just started doing the braid. As the braid got longer I measured to see that it was up to the length that I need for the face of the pinata before cutting. Make sure that you have at least 2 or 3 inches extra in length. I found that Hot Glue for crafts works better than regular glue for the braid.
DID I MISS IT OR HOW WIDE DO YOU CUT THE TISSUE PAPER STRIPS THAT YOU PUT ON? READY TO TRY ONE BUT ARE YOU SURE THAT ONLY A 24 X 24 WILL DO A WHOLE PINATA?
GREEN4SQUARE. Loved you're video, Im almost done I just have to do the tissue paper.. Ok my question is, Can u do a video on braid tissue around piñata? It looked pretty.
hdllo. im going to be making my first pinata ever. n i love ur tutorial. what is the width u cut the 5" strips of paper? n what do u mean about how many layers u have to do?
Also will that thick poster board (lthink it's got some kind of foam filling in the middle of it. I'd say its early a quarter inch thick total), instead of cardboard?
To make the circles I used and old fan stand . But, You can also take a string and pin it to the center of the carboard. Get the other end of the string with a pencil and make the circle. You should get the perfect circle. Good Luck.
It always depends on the thickness of the cardboard that you use. If you can’t bend it with your hand than find something else. We avoid cardboard that is covered with wax. We have also made tests breaking piñatas to test durability and strength.
Yes, you can shape the pinata body into a square. You can shape it into a star or the shape of the face of a cat with ears for a Hello Kitty and just fill in the spaces with tissue insted of using a mylar ballon.
On the Back Top of the Pinata (circle part) you make a square cut with a utility knife. Don't cut out the square completely, leave one side uncut so you can tape it closed. Make it around 3 to 4 inches, just so you can put in items like small inflated balloons, confetti, toys, candy, prize ticket item. Always practice safty with the utility knife!
N approx. how many layers of tiss.paper are on the panels im trying to do 3 colors. Making a teenage mutant ninja turtle pinata. U WOULD MAKE A KILLING RIGHT NOW IF U MADE THEM!!
I have seen the posterboard with the foam in the middle that you are talking about. I really do not think using that will be a good idea. The people hitting the pinata might have a very tough time with that carboard.
Sandra Way The balloon is made of Mylar, it is the image you see on the front. However there are videos of making pinatas with latex balloons, which are the ones you find in bags that you can blow up with just your mouth. Those are the ones you paste with paper mache, let dry, then pop the balloon inside and decorate it.
+Sandra Way The mylar balloon is the image that's on the front and the back of the pinata. Instead of buying the mylar balloon and filling it with helium, it was simply glued to the pinata. It was for decorating the Pinata not for building the body of the pinata.
