They put him in a cold garage with parts and tools he's never used before, electronics and code that nobody has used before. Well done! You drive me to do my best work. Thank you, your are a great teacher and very calm when challenged. Lets not forget, fighting covid and angry grinders. A real Steve Stark. On top of it all, you include your wife for the fun expos and let the kids shoot the spray paints. God bless you. from Bill.

Overall look ideas? Let the album art inspire you - it really looks like a concert venue to me, with a stage and the two sides; house left, right, et cetera - let it speak to you and it'll be fine. Or, if you're in doubt, add a curtain? So many options! Either way, it's come so far and it all looks just great. This isn't the coda yet and shoot, man, you'll know when you're done. Wonder what the back box will look like all lit up? Such a fun journey so far.

I think you did a great job on your wiring management this time around. Looks really good, and youve come a long way from the earlier vids. Incredibly professional looking, and im very impressed with your progression. Great work Steve, and its been a fun journey watching along at home. Small suggestion on your "stage lighting". So in real concerts they always use ladder bars(3 sided antenae style bars) upright on each side, and a cross member. I think mounting lights on your stage that style would really give it that live stage look, and feel. Spots would look very cool. Either way, i love your build steve.

Thanks, Mike! That’s a cool idea for the stage! I’ll have to noodle on that and see what that would take, ty

Awesome work on the fresh wiring, big improvement. It does look a little bit like a loop, though - hopefully you don't have any ground loops. I would have liked a side shot, so I could see the wire elevations and what you used for wiring posts. Really cool to see the LED diffuser mounts in use.

yeah, sorry I ended up simplifying the video and scrapping a bunch of other footage, happy to shoot you an email with more pics if you like. As for the ground loop potential - everything should be good - same way I ran all the grounds on my last whitewood. Each driver has a return to the IO board, and each IO board has a ground that runs back to a terminal block in the backbox where they all then connect to the power filter board. you can see a diagram here: fastpinball.com/wiring/nano/drivers/

I wasn't prepared for the emotional whiplash of watching all of your videos over two weeks and then having to suddenly wait in real time for the next one, hahaha. Glad to see an update, the wiring is looking fantastic! s always, thank you again for your efforts and for being such a great source of inspiration.

Looking good as always! Looking forward to the artwork on the playfield and the integration of the backboard for your "stage."

Hi Steve. I'm curious how you mounted the smaller power supply (LRS-150-12) to the back box. I found mounting brackets for the larger one, but nothing the for the smaller. If I zoom in far enough, it looks like you have a bracket on it, but it's hard to tell. Thanks!

Hearing about nano is arduino nano for me :D That would require sooooo many shift registers for IO.. Cabinet built, broken amplifier gave good transformer, silicon and wire is cheap, mech-legos are practical to build thingie to make coils.. So much done, and more get done, feel like exponentially more need to be done. May need to make new IO-board for bottom 1/3. Wiring is only prototyping style, and mechs starting to get into shape. No pre-made mech, all self-made 👌 And that's what they look like xD

May have missed in prior video, whats the LCD you are using?
@thepinballroom
@thepinballroom Год назад
Same size as Stern uses, it's a flat display with a separate hdmi display controller board - both are linked in my bill of materials spreadsheet listed in the description of each of my videos
@AdamGtr86
@AdamGtr86 Год назад
@@thepinballroom See it. It sucks that nothing comes with HDMI interfaces on most screens. I looked into the brand Stern uses and I think it was a lot more expensive for their LCD.

@@AdamGtr86 yeah, mine was relatively cheap in comparison, but isnt all nice and containes in a single unit 🤷

So, no switch or lamp matrices?
@thepinballroom

Nope, not needed for modern machines with their node board networks afaik. 😃

Can’t wait for 4 years to pass and you go. “Yknow what? I could use another pinball project” and using these skills to just knock it out with as few basic mistakes as possible.
@thepinballroom

Oh it'll be sooner than 4 years 😉 😅 I've already got a couple of other playfield layouts kicking around in my head - and am curious to see how fast I can go the second time around 😂
