I would have added a drop of heavy machine oil to the bearing surfaces. Good video for simple construction. Maybe provide a listing of wher to obtain the magnets and the Hall sensor would be a bonus. K&J magnetics for the magnets, and Digi-Key for the sensor. Good video, no extraneous b.s added..

the ic266 can support a max peak current of 700ma per coil, what was your coil resistance, had made one but due to coil resistance it was shorting the ic, pc brushless fans have so thin windings have resistivity anything between 400-600ohms.
