I am our 4-H club sewing Leader! I am going to have the kids pick an “IRON” block each and make a placemat…. Practice quilting… this is soooooo cute!!!!
My mom collected irons as well and she was an award winning quilter. She passed over 10 years ago an i inherited 40 of her irons. This is a great project that immediately brought back memories of my mom. ❤
This is just adorable. What an honor to have a line created because one of your hobbies. The prints are so endearing! And it was so appropriate to use simple patchwork around the center block. I also see a huge print to start the 8" blocks. Thank you again for a great tutorial!
This quilt is so cute! It’s fun to watch Jenny now as she squares and measures. I started watching MSQC in about 2018, and at that point she would never have squared the iron block and she would have assumed that all the strips were 2.5 inches. Although squaring is probably my least favorite part of quilting, I know it will improve my piecing. I love how Jenny is squaring and measuring without being all “quilt police” about it!
Thank you Jenny for bringing your talent into my life. You have given me joy for all these years. I'm happy for your humanitarian mission. I can bet you will have an enormous impact where it is needed. Is there any way we (or I) can sponsor or assist in this endeavor? The idea that we have to say goodbye just seems painful. Maybe we can help? Collectively you have close to 1 million resources!😊
I watched your interview, Jenny, & it was so fun! I love J Wecker Frisch & ALL of her fabrics! Seriously, what’s not to love! This line is fabulous! Can’t wait to dive in! THANK YOU🫶🫶🫶
Beautiful quilt Jenny. I watched you Tuesday News Day this week with Janet and I couldn’t wait to see your tutorial tonight. It’s wonderful! Thank you!!! 🩷🌸🩷
Very seldom do I like most of a fabric collection. This one, I love! I never buy a layer cake because half of it I give away. This time, I would use them. The quilt is adorable!
Love the old iron collection. It turned into really neat fabrics! I have the little ironing board we had when we were kids. Its green metal but I need to get a little kids iron to go with it.
Oh Jenny! You just made my day!! I have the Bluebird of Happiness panel and fat quarter bundle, and have been looking for the perfect pattern! Thank you I just found it!
I have three sad irons in my little collection and use them as book ends. Love all things antique! Well, most things, anyway. 😃 Tuesday news day with Janet was like two friends visiting together. Loved it! ❤ The warmth of your friendship shone through and was so sweet. 🌷
Rarely do I buy the latest fabric lines but I just love this line and the quilt. I might just be tempted to buy the panel and a layer cake. Thanks Jenny.
Oh Jenny, I saw your Tuesday Newsday with the designer. I was instantly in love with your irons and her fabric line! I can't wait to get these fabrics and make this quilt! YOUR excellent demonstration and explanation have made this seem doable for me. 🎉😊 I hope to meet you at Garden of Quilts, and then at Birthday Bash! 🎉💖🍀🙏🤟🦓. I am looking forward to seeing MSQC and Hamilton. This is a "Bucket List" trip for me, and my friend, Jennifer. She is coming from VA and I'm coming from CA, through Utah, and we will be together in Missouri! JOY!😊😉🥳Liz🦓
I absolutely LOVE this quilt! I saw it on Tuesday but didn’t order my fabric until today…sadly, 2 different prints already sold out. But, I will get the backing when it is restocked. Thank you Jenny and Janet! Visiting my momma right now and we have talked and shared so many wonderful stories…all inspired by your fabric and quilt. Momma has my Granny’s cast iron iron from when she was a child. I hope it will join my sewing room some day. 💕
This quilt is adorable & 😂 I'm certainly im-pressed 😂 I love ❤️ you sew much! And the fabric line showcasing your amazing iron collection is stunning! So so fun!! Thank you as always for sharing you talents 🙏 and inspiration.
Great collection x2! Yours and her fabric collection inspired by yours… I love Frecker Wrich’ designs. Thanks for the great tutorial and beautiful design. Keep on quilting and I wish you and your hubby a wonderful 2 years mission. Enjoy while you serve. You are a continued source of inspiration. ❤
I can just remember a time when my mother had an iron (in the 1950s) which was actually made of iron, she used to heat it up on the gas stove this was of course before we had an electric one , she also had a small one which I used to play with, I found out many years later that it was a small iron especially for ironing frills on blouses 1950s style.
I have 2 old irons that my mother collected. One should have a cord one is old enough it was heated on the stove. I use them today to hold my ruler when cutting fabric
Absolutely love this quilt. When you showed the panel i went to purchase it and it was out of stock( i was heartbroken) couple days later seen it was back in stock and i grab it. Cant wait to make a quilt with it.❤❤. Thank you for sharing your tutorial and your vintage irons.😊
waiting for my order to come in so I can do this one love the irons the old sewing machines would look good with the irons just order the irons going to get the old sewing machines panel also thank you for the video
I love this quilt!! ❤❤ I purchased the panel, but the border fabric is out of stock. Will purchase it when it becomes available. I have one of the irons in the panel, it belonged to my mom. 😊
I am impressed luv j wickerfresh made a quilt with her pumpkin patch fabric we are gonna miss you on your mission but what a great experience you could do some zoom tutorials lol
Great quilt! Watching video for ideas on another quilt currently making. I wanted a different idea for borders around my squares of cats in flannel fabric. I really like the solid border and then the scrap to contrast. Plus it will make the quilt a bit bigger. A two fer.lol
Pressed the "link" to go to the store for this pattern & supplies & never got there. Just kept getting the five items that are shown here. Please supply a good link as its something that my one sister will love. Thank-you for your help.
