Who Doesn’t Love Puppies… and what’s better than a Basket of Puppies??? Obviously, a Basket of Puppies and FLOWERS! J shares tips for Creating “Flower Puppies” that are nestled in a Basket of Garden Flowers!
Thanks so much Julie- it's a fun technique- and it will be featured in the 2nd Season of my NEW Public Television show- that premieres here in the USA in April... "J Schwanke's Life in Bloom" coming to over 230 PBS Stations and the CREATE Network... we're very excited... Thanks so much for the sweet note my friend... Hope you are doing better... I'm so sorry - and my thoughts and prayers have been with you my friend! Much Love!
I don't know about that Shalini- it's just years of practice- and it takes a bit of practice to get this one down... I've worked on them a lot over the years- but I will take the Kind Compliment my Friend... Thank you!
One of my first jobs in a retail flower shop was to make Snowmen mostly out of flat white pom poms . The owners were all about making a profit and did not want me to use other flowers but they did let me use a few football mums to start the base. I must have made 500 that year. Then Easter came and I had to make EASTER BUNNIES! I swore when I opened my shop I would NEVER ever make a snowman or bunny out of poms ever again! lol But these puppies are adorable and yes I would make them if I ever open another flower shop. I hope all of the retail florists bounce back after this horrible pandemic and maybe one will hire me! J: I love your videos and especially love the fact you are on tv now. Its so relaxing to watch on tv.
Awesome Aaron... that's a great idea- share pics with me at my Facebook page- J Schwanke... I would love to see what you create- Thanks for subscribing to my Channel!
That is amazing! My rescue dachshund Rosie and I give you two paws up!! I recently subscribed to your premium videos and have already spent hours watching while I recover from the flu. You are talented as a designer and an educator!
Thank you so much Roxanne... I'm glad you Rescued ROSIE-she's lucky to have YOU... and thank you for subscribing to uBloom.com- that helps makes our videos possible... I appreciate it so very much!
J Schwanke it’s my children who thank you! Also, I was a gamma phi beta and pink carnations were our sorority flower. You can bet I’ll be sculpting something out of them this spring. I appreciate your tip about how to fluff them into a nice round ball.
Former florist new to your channel, J! I absolutely adore these puppies--so cute and made of one of my favorite flowers (aren't carnations underrated?). J, you have a fantastic, welcoming energy. You make watching and learning enjoyable!
You're welcome Mr. Schwanke 😍 I'm from Georgia ( Sakartvelo ) 🇬🇪 Georgia is small Orthodox Christian country, we don't have too much experience with flowers, but we have beautiful botanical garden and every year we have flower festival.🌹🌹My country is very beautiful and very interesting. We had the first woman king in the 12th century her name was King Tamar. She is also the saint. You should come and see.👀 We have the best wine and cuisine around the world. 😊😊😍😍
This is my white fluffy dog :) I buy this arrangement, for different occasions, for others, from my dog and me. Still waiting to receive one! Maybe will just try to make my own! Thank you!
Thank you Melody- the basket is from a company called "Giftwares"- it's a pretty basket- I have seen similar baskets at craft stores... or if you are looking for Giftwares Products- visit a local wholesale florist! Thanks for the question!
Different parts of the arrangement will last longer Junko... the puppies are perhaps the longest lasting at more than 10 days... other items may not last that long... choosing longer lasting flowers will help the entire arrangement look great for over a week or 10 days...
Hi Maria- I don't talk about pricing here... it's too personal- and so affected by your local markets... PLUS You have to decide what to charge for your design skill and labor... I hope you understand... Thanks my friend!
It's not something we discuss here... and you can make it big or small- it's about the craft- and tutorials here... if you are looking for pricing - I suggest inquiring at your local professional Florist- they can create it for you!
Started to feel very confident on this project till he mentioned how not to space the eyes too far apart. Now all I can see is my poor puppies looking cross eyed. I want to do this for my mom. I hope I can do it right.
I Know you will do just fine Connie- and it will be GREAT! I want to see it when you have it completed... send me a pic at J@ubloom.com- I would love to see your creation!
Its just about the ears - eyes and whiskers Pealxoxo- just make the ears a little more pointed- and create a different nose and add whiskers- it's truly that easy- use the EMOJI you placed as a model... and send pics... Thanks for subscribing to my Channel!
