One thing I learned with casting metal, try to not make 90° angles in castings. Add a few degrees to the walls and the mold will pop the part right out.

consider using ASA plastic, and then apply acetone vapor smoothing technique to make surfaces smooth.

Hi, Bro! Thank you for the comment. Actually, I've made 4-5 molds. so, I had failed a lot. That was so hard works. Recently, I am loving 3D design, and electronic works. My major was computer programming in University. I hope to develop electronic modules and carbon fiber parts for car. Thanks for the good comment always. Thank you bro.

Oh boy, i've been there as well! Kudos to your persistence. Its hard. I know it is. But you did it - exceptionally well! Its done now, but my two cents for your project would have been: start with a positive mold. Less tricky with complex corners such as yours. Draft angles! Can't say for sure, but it looks like you held back on those a bit? Use a specialized filler or prime coat to get rid of layer lines and make sanding MUCH easier + you can achieve a perfect finish straight from the mold. Get (make) a vacuum pump. You can easily build one from a compressor off an old refrigerator or AC unit in a day or two - and comes in very cheap (80-100 bucks max.)

Enabling ironing with a 25% flow would have given you flat top surfaces. This would just leave the vertical faces needing sanding.

So, how much did it cost you to make this? I mean the OMP 310 ALU GT is about $450 then you had to gut an KPM Solutions wheel, which is about $2000 and on top of that you had to buy the carbon fiber, the resin and all the other consumables. That has to be a $3000 project. For that kind of money you can basically take your pick on the wheels out there. For that kind of money one can get a 20NM DD wheel base, a sweet set of load cell pedals and a very nice steering wheel,...but good job

I am so confused in your usage of the breather/bleeder. Isn't it supposed to breath, letting the air have somewhere to go when sucking vacuum while also suck up any leftover epoxi from the carbon fiber laminate?

Hello friend. You are right. In working with this small size of prepreg, I think it is more important to press the prepreg into the mold than to absorb the unnecessary resin. So I didn't use a breather and bleeder.

Hello friend In positive molds, carbon fiber is laminated on top of the mold, so carbon fiber parts larger than the size of the molds are completed. The negative mold will have the same shape as the designed model.

This is why you need to machine the mold out of aluminum, so that you don't need additional prep like sanding, etc... Every angle, every surface is machined to perfection. Cons: more expensive, and you need to contract a 3d metal print workshop for the job.

Waay to cost and time expensive for my taste (This must cost more than 2000 USD), knowing that for almost half that price you can purchase awesome Arscher, Cube, etc wheels... But I have to admit it looks quite good, and it's unique! Always loved the OMP Alu GT.
