How to make a real, functional Back to the Future style Hoverboard using neodymium magnets and a magnetic RF launchpad to achieve levitation. See the full creation at www.destination...
A much stronger version of this could be used to make a huvr rink, instead of an old school roller rink, the entire facility indoors could utilized this technology. My motto... If you build it, they will come!
I remember seeing this video when I was 11 years old. My sister and I smashed open my Dad's laptop to find magnets. We ended up not finding any magnets and we just destroyed the laptop and all the files inside the computer were gone. I remember being so obsessed with the idea of a real hoverboard.
@ SecretBlue02if u want to make a life size scale one i recommed u large 40mm neodymium magnet and heres one that i bought from e bay www.ebay.com/p/Large-40mm-Neodymium-RARE-Earth-Magnet-Big-Super-Strong-HUGE-Size/7016524551?iid=112886860714
+jun morales no since the magnets are suppost to be stable to hover and while on a car they weight of the car would be to strong for the magnet to handle unless you have some super power magnet which is not found on earth
ThatJaredKid all metal conducts electricity. By touching two metal surfaces, it allows the flow of electricity through both surfaces. Electrical tape is used because it does NOT conduct electricity, but rather, it keeps the two metal surfaces touching so electricity will flow through.
HOLY SHIT!If you had the money to buy big versions of everything you used and help from scientist to make it stable for riding,YOUR WORK CAN REVOLUTIONIZE THE WORLD!
oh...well the first hoverboard i saw could only be on metal,THIS one can go anywhere....so yeah i thought it was better than the one i saw,but smaller.
***** no magnetic fields can stay active for a while. take the accident of cherynobyl for example the radioactive fields stays very active to this day.
@Adam Watts actually it is all real. Removing the base is actually possible because the magnets with the battery create a charge that goes into the magnets inside the board and upon removing when stabalized allows the board to float. If the board was picked up or moved then yes the energy would be lost and the board would fall.
As so many people are saying that this is working for them I am going to try with a full size skateboard but using the same method just with bigger magnets... Will it still work?
Man that is so cool ! Imagine you have this awesome thing in your room floating on your table or something ! And then you show your friend..Your school would talk about you!
So basicly, you need a metal hanger, a loop anntenna, an AA battery, foam, and neodymium magnets. So you make the model with foam and place magnets inside it, then you get the metal hanger and stretch it so that it looks like a square. After that, you get the AA battery then one neodymium magnet and place the magnet under the battery and place the whole thing on the edge of the metal hanger. Then place the magnets on all four sides on the square. Then get your loop antenna and hook it to the edge where the battery is. The loop antenna will allow the signal of the metal hanger to make the board still float when it is taken off. Then you place the board in the middle of the metal hanger, then let go until it is steady. Then that's done, now remove the launchpad and it should still be hovering. If I have made any mistakes, please reply to my comment
It looks as if the anti-gravity field was created using the magnets. However, the inventor of the prototype could have placed the magnets underneath the black surface hidden away from view. Also, were the N and S labels necessary? Were they supposed to be magnetic poles on Earth and if so why were they opposite each other? It looks as if the magnetic field did not produce enough energy to create an anti-gravity field high off the ground or capable of holding enough weight (kg or pounds). I'd recommend a generator with higher voltage or watts to try and create a stronger anti-gravity field. However, great invention!
According to wikipedia and general theory of relativity anti-gravity is impossible, but lifters are possible using electromagnetic fields. So if this works it is a lifter not anti-gravity.
me n my son r doing a science project for the hover board................where do i find a loop antenna? so, once i disconnect the hanger does it just float? or is it a specific board i need?
Can we make something bigger then that so we can ride it or you haven't done that yet.... Or do you recommend that we do the same thing like in this video but bigger
Adam Watts Yea I thought the same thing. The magnets would repel because of positive and negative forces and the properties of magnets but it looks as if it's a camera trick once he removes the hanger. Creating a permanent magnetic field using electricity seems unplausible.
You should make 4 big ones(3 feet long and 16 inches wide) and use them for the basis of a Hovercar. You could use 8 fans in the back or, for a really fast one, 2 turbofans in the back for propulsion.
I'm confused that if the hoverboard was conducted by magnet why is the borad made if Wood?If you want it to conduct more magnets then to make it float more?
I always found the music in the video very calming yet have a lonesome feel to it, this video brings back memories. What was the song used in the video?
actualy you saw that when he femoved the launch pads the magnet you saw he put S near N and does the same again so the is it and the launch pad the same thing
It's magnets... Gezuz people, have you never tried the negative with negative? They oppose each other instead of coming together. Same with the mini replica. He just even it out so it won't flip over.
Thanks, I'll take 10% of your credit for doing the hard work. You're like one of those lab partners that take credit for everything, but sat on your ass all weekend playing COD ignoring your texts with Dorito(TM) fingers. Frito Lay played no part in endorsing this comment.
@@AdpakOfficial calm down dude its just a simple project anybody with an income of 1 dollar can do. This is such a shit baby hoverboard and your getting mad over him trying to improve it how about you make a bigger one then
well with all that being done......why dont we just do it on a larger scale??? i mean if you can then you really can market it because with bigger, more powerful magnets you can make it withstand the weight of a human. plus the pad would serve as a "charger" over night for use throught the day. besides its not like in the movie people could go 30 feet into the air any way. if u look at it on a larger scale the height is about the same. If i had the means and know how to do it myself i would but alas i dont but im sure sum brain-e-ach who reads this will. just make sure i get my cred lol
Is the loop antenna connected one side on the hanger by the neg end of the battery. And the other wire is connected to the top end of the hanger or pos side od battery. I have all the parts. Just want some clarification. If this does work. I would have no problem making a video of my own to show
How to adjust the loop antenna? Mine is a circular shape.. and the battery is just tap on the metal hanger or we need to solder to it? Please reply! Thanks!
