you prolly dont care at all but does any of you know a way to get back into an Instagram account? I stupidly forgot my password. I would appreciate any tips you can offer me.
@Grey Hugh I really appreciate your reply. I found the site through google and Im trying it out atm. Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Thank you! This is the kind of tutorial that I like. It's not too slow to be boring and yet super easy to follow! That's why I subscribed, and I'm hoping to learn more from this channel.
U just saved me from vc orb plugin attack... It showed after effects not found error.... Nd then I watched this.. Loved this... Thank you so much! So much helpful ❤️❤️✌️
Hi im very new to after effects just got it yesteday and im struggling with the pen and mask section. I have drawn the thing with the pen but i dont know how to make the day earth and night earth both show up. Any help would be very appreciated im desperate
Awesome tutorial! Very helpful. How hard would it be to do a full rotation of the Earth like this? The biggest area I'm struggling with this is the lighting. Since we're working with a 2D image, it doesn't wrap around.
Hi Nathan, yes your right due to the fact it’s a 2d map it makes it slightly harder. One option is to have your light transition timed so it moves over the join while it’s on the other side of the earth. It can all be done but you need to use feathering and have a good idea of what you want to do before you start. Thanks for the comment!
Is there a way to adjust the sadhowing/night as the earth orbits around the sun I 3D space? Or would that just require more keyframing of the night layer mask?
Yes just more key framing. A newer way of doing this is to use the free orb plugin, it gives you more control over creating lighting effects. I have a video on how to do this under my Star Wars series. It’s the one where I show you how to create the planet 🌎
hey Flat Pack FX this is a great tutorial, exactly what I needed, however the export video is kinda sluggish, not smooth at all I tried all settings from 25fps all the way up to 100fps (zooming and scale makes it worst) Any tip or suggestion?
Hi mataiand, it’s a tricky one could be a number of things. Try playing back in a different video player like VLC or try exporting in a different codec. It could also be your resolution try dropping that down. A good test is to import the exported file into a video editor and test playback if it’s still jittery try a different codec. Hope that helps!
Awesome thanks very much! I am trying to make it do a 360 however I am getting a bit stuck! Once the world revolves around, the "night" Layer has a definite cut off, any tips? Almost as if it has hit the end of the image.
Hey there are limitations with this type of animation, try looking at my Star Wars planet tutorial as I use “Orb” it will get around a lot of the issues with this. Hope that helps
Florian Falk or keep all the money that you say you need for building “space ships” and spend a small fraction on Hollywood effects, and boom your rich. Even if space were real they would do this
I was able to follow until 5:00 when he added a keyframe in order to make the globe spin. He never said how and I cant figure it out. My only leads was to watch an introduction video on lynda.com but you have to pay for it.
It took me all night to figure it out but I did. I just needed to hit the stop watch, move the playhead first then make my adjustments on the chosen value. I just had to play around untill I figured it out. I kept getting comments like yours, saying its easy but not telling me how to do it or even where to look. You dont need a background, now that I get it I realize its super easy. Its only hard because people refuse to help or when they do they are not precise.
Hi. Thank you for your tutorial. I have a question - how do I create a shadow that stays in place while the earth loops 360 degrees? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Rotation looks strange, because there is tilt on Z axis, but rotation on Y axis is still vertical instead of following the tilt of globe. If you change the rotation order from XYZ to ZYX, it will tilt the globe and the Y rotational axis to look correct.
Красавчик! Очень интересный урок, всё достаточно доходчиво объяснил! Лайк! Pretty boy! Very interesting lesson, everything is explained clearly enough! Like!
