So when you harvest and pull your plants you keep the roots and rest of the stem in the plant? then if you have worms if your soil they take care of that? Also do you transplant into your super soil or plant you seed in there?

The guy who basically recoined the term supersoil, a fellow grower named subcool, actually just passed away yesterday, what perfect timing. He is said to have passed from his long fight with a rare immune system disease yesterday, which was a big reason he pushed organic cannabis and growing. Respect to the guy who literally made the phrase supersoil an organic growers household name in this era.

Im a month into flower on my first ever grow, i just dropped my seeds into ocean forest and after a month or so i started adding nutrients. All my plants are huge and have never had any signs of deficiencies or burning. The stalks are larger than a golf ball size in diameter (i vegged a little longer) and they are all over 50" tall. I use the bluelab ph and ec probes and lamotte soil test kit to ensure my numbers are good. Cant wait to harvest they are getting huge and frosty.

Supersoil was a popular brand of compost and potting soil going back to the 70s. It's still around; Scotts MG owns the name now. There's nothing "super" about it in its current incarnation, however.
@woodystemms3799
@woodystemms3799 4 года назад
@@fonseca898 "Supersoil" was the name used for a particular grow recipe posted by a guy ( girl? ) who went by "Vic High". He, she, it, had an early internet bulletin board where Subcool posted often. At the time, he was into using plastic pipe to fashion crude gas extraction gizmos. ( Dangerous stuff. ) Vic's original recipe was the basis for the later versions Subcool used. It was an organic mix based on peat ... Pro-mix ... it was a true "one and done", water-only medium.

THIS SOIL RECIPE AND MASTER MARK HIMSELF ARE BOGUS!!! “Master marks” soil recipe is made up in that “boogie brew” guys head!!! First off I can wholeheartedly promise you that a legend in Humboldt County didn’t become a legend because of tiny lil average indoor grows!! It was because of massive outdoor grows!!! And any herb grower knows that 1# per light is doing very well!!! 3# per light is an outright lie.. And I would be absolutely shocked if the grow pictured yielded more than 1# per thousand watt light. But master mark(actually boogie brew guy) goes on to tell you to put bio char in an indoor soil mix, and to mulch, and use worms for an indoor soil mix all of which is near pointless in a 10gallon pot(as pictured). But if you did add bio char you would most certainly inoculate that bio char and add a nitrogen source to it which this recipe completely leaves out(not inoculating or addding nitrogen would be detrimental to the soil as the biochar would literally suck the nutrients out of the soil until it was equalized) Ironically enough when you look at the pictures there isn’t any bio char in that soil and there clearly isn’t any mulch. So “josh aka mr boogie brew” can you please explain why master mark doesn’t even use his own recipe????? And why a master grower wouldn’t know how to properly make biochar??? It’s also hilarious that josh claims mark wants to keep his identity secret for “obvious reasons” but then “master Mark” chimes in this thread with his first and last name!!! How dumb can you possibly be josh? If you want to hawk your products you shouldn’t have to create elaborate lies, LIKE YOUR FAKE ACCENT!!!!!!

@@ryanwilkinson571 At first your logic makes sense. If someone is famous its because they produce a ton of product. But they said he just does it as a hobby now. If you imported cocaine for instance you could become famous, and still later on just import some for yourself as a hobby not a business. Perhaps you are right that it's all a sham, but you're comment sort of came off like someone pissed in your cheerios the day ya wrote it. And yes obviously you'd use inoculated bio char. Personally I think cocaine legends are cooler than weed legends haha.

So my wife suggested cannabis and I tried it for 3 months using only 1/4 oz monthly. To say the least, it addresses all my problems with great results by my wife, doctor and myself. I have decided to grow my own because it's important that it's natural, quality and trusted. It is strictly for myself and I want to be successful. fermented foods like fermented oats would be great to add to feeding time, you could make a batch of fermented oatmeal, and use that to innoculate contains with more chlorine free water, add some sugar and stretch it out (to make it more economical).. this is doubly beneficial because fermented oats are a source of b12, so you could add b12 into your plants

Hey I know this is two years later but do you mind going into how to make the fermented oats for the cannabis plants?
@Vscustomprinting
@Vscustomprinting Год назад
@@jennthomas7418 "According to a research study conducted by scientists at the University of California Riverside, fermented food waste increases good bacteria - specifically, bacteria that can increase crop growth, make plants more pathogen-resistant and lower carbon emissions." its actually silage tbh, you can basically ferment down most any plant and its constituents (seeds, oats).. Its really as easy as mixing water and oats- Oats contain salt which will encourage the anaerobic environment to create the symbiotic reaction between fungi and bacteria that are beneficial and create an environment that doesnt support pathogens.. You can just use any fermented plant juice, and you can search the internet on ways to make (generally its just plant matter and water and a temp between 70 and 102 degrees).. just check to see of the material normally contains enough salt to ferment. Oats would be something cheap to use, and contain more nutrients that other plant matter might, and youll probably want to add more water than you would if you were making fermented oats to eat, as its the juice that most people are adding into/onto their plants, but the oats can also be mixed in to soils ..

ive been studying research on the microbiome and mycobiome of mushroom substrates.. there is a mycobiome for ths living system that helps regulate things.. some of the things we do with plants maybe a bit off still, although the understanding of how fungi and plants create a symbiosis that is more effective at warding off pathogens etc has only come to its maturity in this last decade.. its very exciting!

i 3rd this statement. As soon as i saw the title and misinformed(again lol) info i had to chime in. And i work cultivation for many big ops, so yeah, cant teach what i study daily lol. I also can get polaroids from the 1970s showing northern california nugs grown with a brand of prebagged soil labelled supersoil.. in the 70s. This mark character claiming 3 pounds on organic indoor...ha, no offense i believe maybe, but id love to see proof, being a top tier grower, i find that laughable for a single 1k outdated bulb as well. And did you all hear a mention of this unicorn yielding strain lol...as they say, pics and video now or it didnt happen.

@@dertythegrower supposedly he died of "natural causes", peacefully in his sleep. I wasn't the biggest fan of Subcool, based on my own personal interactions. We all know he could be less than friendly in recent years. However, I still have respect for him because of what he did for the industry, the community, veterans, and so on. I'm not giving Subcool credit for inventing super soil, but he was the first I knew who really put a good recipe out there for people to succeed with. I've never heard of this "local legend MM", but Subcool was known across the world for the knowledge he helped spread.
