As a tip, your stamp would stamp much better if you were to put a thin layer of foam (craft foam would work) between the wood and your rubber stamp. Alternatively, you can place some foam under the paper or a stack of paper to give it some padding when stamping with the one you already mounted. Rubber stamps on wood blocks need a little bit of give/padding to get good impressions.
Patrice not sure why you could not near me saying to " Mirror your Image ". But this is the video that has convinced me to buy the X-Tool...thanks for helping me spend my money. Stamping tip: apply the ink to the stamp, this helps keep the ink from getting on the edges or cut the excess way. Now I'm off the buy a X-tool. Thanks again for all you do!
Hey Angela!!! SMH! I wasn't listening. 😂 Thanks for the tips. I think that you will love the xTool. If you have FB, I would suggest joining this FB group: facebook.com/groups/378358767386789
Thank you for the video. I was actually using the magnets under the honeycomb as feet, since I thought it needed the space for airflow. Now I can actually index my wood stock without fail. The more videos I watch, the better. Subbed.
You made my day , I didn’t even know I could make these which will be a game changer but I’m so glad you didn’t edit out your mistake with the mirroring !🙂
Great instructional video. Thank you for showing the mistakes. I find that very helpful and informative as I am new to laser tools. Looking forward to watching more of your videos.
So my thought on why it didn't stamp in the middle, you need to make sure that you apply glue evenly over the entire stamp. Looks good, made me giggle that you didn't reverse the image. I was yelling at the video though. hehehe
Lol, as soon as I saw the design being done..oh well, we all goof up sometimes! Another stamping tip for you, a piece of craft foam under your paper might make it stamp ok...but it does need to be a deeper engrave. I have made Polymer stamps at home for years using a UV polymer and a lamp but I'd be tempted to laser cut them if I wanted to make a load of them.
This was a helpful video. Thanks for making it. I can't find any mention of the LED wattage. I've got a 5w D1. Do you think that will work, but with more passes? I'd buy the material from xtool with your affiliate link, but can't find the link or code. Thanks again.
I have to subscribe! You are having fun and using your xtool. I am struggling and kind of dislike it at this point. I spent alot of money on this tool and I have been disappointed. Hopefully I can learn from you.
omg I thought you meant 'mirror' when you reverse the +/- on the engraving, then I had to watch the whole video to see the omg at 12:45 haaaaa done the same thing 100x
Thank you for making this video. Love the stamp you made. Any chance you could share the settings guide? My xtool sample pack didn't have one included and they don't have it on the website. When I call the help line, I get voice mail...grrr.
I caught this video not long after it was posted. I haven't received a confirmation yet so I am not 100% sure that I am the Brian that won. Hopefully so. When she first said Brian... I was like what did she say? Then she said my last name and then I thought uhhhh could that really be me. Then my name came up on the screen. But it is still a possibility it is another Brian.
@@captainkiddoregon I thought Patrice @Craftable Things said there were only 12 eligible winners. I can’t imagine there being two people named Brian Kidd in a group of 12 people. Good luck!
Sorry for the late reply. I want thank Patrice and xTool again. Everything has been sorted out and I received my refund for the whole order. This is probably the best drawing I ever won. Laze on!
