My mother passed away in 2015 at 91, I found these old old quilt squares just like these you made, I've been waiting to try and finish it, the pieces are so so thin..I laid them all out and it needs 2 more square pieces to make it even. My father also passed away in 2015 at the age od 95, blessed I was, anyway he has lots of shirts so I decided maybe I could make 2 squares out of those.. I have no idea what I am doing lol, but I'm glad I found this video.. Do I cut the small squares on the ends by themselves? I think that is the only thing extra the others are those flying geese.. My square is 10x10 and have no idea how much I need to cut to make..:(
I know you asked this long ago and you probably have already gotten an answer, but.... Anytime something gives a 'finished' size, that is without the seam allowance, so after it's set in the quilt. 9 inch finished would measure 9.5 before it's set into the quilt.
