Here are the steps to make a sign-in or signup sheet template in Google Docs:
1. Insert a Table
- Click on "Insert" in the menu.
- Go to "Table."
- Choose 6 columns and 20 rows to represent the data you need to collect. You can add more rows later.
2. Customize the Table
- Add the data labels at the top of the table (e.g., Name, Date, Time In, Time Out, Reason for Visit).
- Resize the columns as needed. Make the Date column smaller and the Reason for Visit column a bit bigger. The Time In and Time Out columns can be smaller since they only need to hold short pieces of information.
3. Adding More Rows
- Google Docs initially allows 20 rows in the table. To fill up the end of the page, highlight the bottom 8 rows, right-click, and insert 8 rows below.
4. Customize the Header
- To make the header of the sign-in sheet stand out, click on the fill color, choose black, and set the text color to white.
That's it! You now have a sign-in or signup sheet template in Google Docs. Thank you for watching!
