In my opinion a cross cut sled is the first thing one must make for his / her table saw. It is really useful in many woodworking situations.
Tools and materials I propose:
Table saw: amzn.to/2RBf0nT
Cordless drill: amzn.to/2A6fTOy
Countersink bits: amzn.to/2Exkv2G
Air compressor, nail and staple gun kit: amzn.to/2NMPCIH
Block plane: amzn.to/2RLiAMf
Chisel set: amzn.to/2pILO1B
Flush trim saw: amzn.to/2PnkoJM
Heat gun: amzn.to/2Eg4Qok
Precision Square / 90 degree angle: amzn.to/2EKq11r

My thoughts exactly. They say simple then they proceed to use 30k worth of tools. 🤣
@dalepres1

@@paulcarmody7529 And many also make their "simple" video 30 or 40 minutes long. There are many things that can be done to make a simple sled more useful, and less simple, but this guy nailed simple and, thankfully, short on the video.
@joy9073

@dalepres1 exactly. I've been watching lots of sled making videos for 2 mo, most of those "simple" sleds require tracks, stops, planers, sanding belts, routers and many more tools, and it becomes a huge project. I'm not a carpenter, I'm not going to use it to build a house, I just need to crosscut couple pieces of wood.

Having checked out numerous RU-vid videos for ‘ simple cross cut table saw sled’ most if not all were so totally over complicated, over engineered just for a knocked together cutting jig. It is not cabinet making just simple joinery and yours is absolutely the best. No unnecessary chat, no stupid back to front caps, no background music ( why the need ?) . Excellent video and a lesson to the other would be makers out there
