For those having issues with the leaderboards, make sure you enable the Output log in the view tab so you can see what's going on. Even if your code technically has no errors, you can still get error messages. Mine was "attempt to call missing method 'AddUserID' of table" the d in UserId is not capitalized, so AddUserId, not AddUserID. Hope this helps. Additionally if you're having issues with Gems not appearing, go to template and put a comma after Click's 0. Click = 0, Gems = 0

For those of you having issues with the leaderboards not showing in game when you press tab, simply restart studio and check again. If it's still not there then it's an issue with your code This took a little bit for me to figure out and it quite the headache but i hope this saves a few of you the trouble
For those who have errors, i have a way to fix it. copy paste your code into an ai such as chatgpt, and then the ai can easily find errors in your code

Works perfectly, even though I'm not really an experienced developer (Of course not, I just started last week in scripting). But this gave me a detailed understanding of making the leaderboard. Congrats on earning a new sub and like! :)
@@SouLess4L This fixed it for me Find where it says ProfileStore.LoadProfileAsync switch it to ProfileStore:LoadProfileAsync Once i switched from . to : it works now Hope this helps
I had the same issue with clicks and gems not showing up as well, check the output panel after entering the game. If nothing is being said in output, make sure you put your scripts in the proper form. PlayerData should be in a normal script, manager and template will be a module script.

For anyone who is getting the error message (attempting to index a instance with nil) then make sure in the manager script you put a capital P in profiles so it matches the rest of your code
Another really important thing people may forget is that you HAVE to add in module scripts, adding in a normal script for manager and template will not work, I simply put my script i had from a normal script to a module script for both manager and template, and my leaderboard finally appeared.
@@alsokawi when u make the scripts, u cant use a normal script type, you have to use the type he entailed, ngl i forgor what type it was but yea just follow step by step, dont cut corners.
The error "GetPlayers is not a valid member of ServerScriptService 'ServerScriptService'" occurs because Players is being assigned the value of game:GetService("ServerScriptService"), which is a server-side service, and therefore does not have the GetPlayers method. To fix this error, you should change the line local Players = game:GetService("ServerScriptService") to local Players = game:GetService("Players"). This will correctly assign the Players service to the Players variable, giving you access to the GetPlayers method.
Guys for whoever has been having the problem of your leaderboard not showing up. MAKE SURE that your Data script is not a module script but instead a REGULAR script. Im so relieved i finnaly figured this out took me hours. btw just the data script make all the other ones are module scripts.

Anyone who came here looking to see why their leaderboard isn’t working here’s a few of the problems i found that i haven’t seen mentioned yet: At the beginning i named my folder “Player Data” instead of “PlayerData” I also forgot to add a comma after Clicks=0 in the Templates Module

For a second I thought the script didnt work, but i double checked... profile service was set to the player data folder if you dont get it let me show you Before fixing it: local ProfileService = require (ServerScriptService.PlayerData.ProfileService) After Fixing it: local ProfileService = require (ServerScriptService.Libs.ProfileService) You can see before fixing it the folder was set to PlayerData (since i copied and pasted I forgot to check that) MAKE SURE TO CHECK!!

IM CRYING. I retried this code over and over wondering why its not working and it turns out I misspelled Descendant in the IsDescendantOf . I spelled it as Descentand with a t instead of a d. Make sure your spelling is spot on.

The leader stats won’t show the output is saying “serverscriptservice.libs.profileservice:2219:[profileservice]:invalidprofile_template” is there a fix for this, I see many other people are having the same issue, I followed everything in the video exactly as you did so idk what could be the issue 🧐🧐
You more than likely made a mistake on the line which has code similar to the following: local ProfileStore = ProfileService.GetProfileStore("Production", Template)

Hey so I need help with something Monzter.. when I test my game none of the labels for the leaderboard are there. So like the gems and clicks dont pop up and its just the default tab. Any help?
I know its a bit late, but if anyone else is having the issue: Make sure you have a comma after Clicks = 0 in the Template script So instead of Clicks = 0 Gems = 0 It should be Clicks = 0, Gems = 0 Hopefully that will fix your issue

With this tutorial, I do believe it to contain better and more well-polished code. Although, since I have been using both of your tutorials mainly as a learning experience, the pacing on your previous series made it much easier to follow along and you appear to be rushing a lot here with not much useful explanation for the code you have scripted here (which is gonna be very useful for a beginner like me). This is evident with the various amount of cuts you use just to remove any 'awkward pauses' but it just comes off as someone trying to condense as much content into 10-15 minutes for watch time.

Thank you for the feedback, I genuinely think it's extremely valuable because I always want to improve my content and make it more digestible 2. Please let me know if this opinion changes if you watch this series any further. The pace of the later episodes are definitely a bit slower. 3. I don't actively edit topics out from video, nor do I avoid talking about specific code due to video duration. I would put it more towards me being a fast talker. Although, I completely agree that my pacing in some videos is WAY faster than what everyone would like and it is something I need to improve on. Thank you again for this feedback. It's often suggested, especially on this video, and it really is something I actively try to work on. Sorry I didn't type out a full message like I was going to and technically did once already lol. I really appreciate this comment and I don't want my concise message to come off like I don't care.
@@MonzterDEV Hey sorry if I came off as rude in any aspect but yeah, I did check out your later videos and they have WAY better pacing. I myself have been very interested in creating Roblox games really recently, and I actually have learned a lot of basic skills (such as blender modelling and beginner scripting). Due to my background in graphic design and web creations, these skills came to me incredibly quickly and I would like to thank you for the scripting part - since it is quite easy to follow when you aren't typing it out along with you 😅. I think the main reason I felt the way I did about the pacing is mainly because I was trying to follow along with as few pauses as I could so I could improve typing skills, but also due to my OTHER background in video editing (which I am self-taught for which is why I'm not too good) meaning I can't really gauge when to switch my brain off for the editing portion of videos lol. For anyone having problems with not being able to see the 'Clicks' and 'Gems' on the leaderboard without any errors shown in the 'output', make sure you publish the game to Roblox. Had the same problem as well. To publish it, 1. Go to file (Top left corner) 2. Click on 'Publish to Roblox' tab 3. Give it a name and then save/publish it.
i got errors none of AI helped or ways in comment helped Requested module experienced an error while loading whats it:? PC: i fixed error but now it still not appear no errors and no leaderboard:/
Sorry to hear that you made mistakes while following my tutorial! I highly encourage you to rewatch the video, or watch another series. Threatening to report me because of your own mistakes is well, against the RU-vid's ToS, but also just plain childish. Best of luck to ya!
It works. You'll need to review the script for errors a few times. Also make sure the folders are set up correctly. And it helps to read the comments if anyone else had the same problems. I did it without any prior knowledge.

I’m not sure if this was the issue but I dragged the ProfileService module script into the Libs folder because the code was trying to access it but it wasn’t there since we had it in workspace, it fixed my issue
If it doesnt work for you, make sure all colons are colons NOT semi-colons. Make sure all spelling is exact, and make sure there is a bracket on the end of 'end' where there is meant to be. Double check the script in the video.

GUYS I have a solution to your leaderstats not working. When I ran my game it also didn't work. Here's how I fixed it: - Publish to Roblox - Restart studio and launch the place again This is definitely heavily overlooked and not something most people would even consider.
but does it help with a part that says "attempt to index nil with instance?" because I cant figure out a way to fix that yet it works for the guy in the video
I have a bit of a problem. When I load into the game, the leaderstats do not show. I did everything correctly, every line of code is exact and I’ve looked through it 3 times.
If anyone is having issues with the leader stats, make sure that you change the template, manager and profile service values to use the require feature.
can someone help me? i coded everything correct and i only have one error left it says attempt to index nil with "profiles" now i know what index nil means i just need help fixing it, so far how I've fixed it was fixing capitalization and spelling but when i tried to fix the spelling of "Manager" it had a red line under it, this is the line of code that's "incorrect" " local profile = Manager.Profiles [player]" can anyone help me out here or is this unfixable
why do you have to pay to copy the scripts i dont think is fair cuz some people are new and they dont know how to type that stuff in so its not good to mkae them pay just so they can get the scripts, just make some of them free, also some letters and stuff you type in dosent exist on their keyboard so they cannot do that code, making people pay for its not fair, but the tutorial is great and it really helps a lot of new people like me so thank you so much :D
I wasted over an hour on this, its just error after error every time I somehow fix an error it gives another one. I'm tired of this, you keep asking people to follow it properly while ignoring the fact that more than half of the comment section is confused. This is what happens when you set the codes behind a pay wall. literally a simple ctrl c and ctrl v on your side would save hours on our side.
Hey, I'm sorry you feel this way. Unfortunately, not everyone wants to spend countless hours creating a series teaching people how to create an entire Roblox game for completely free. These videos are created with intent to educate and luckily I'm able to generate some income off my hard work. I'm also sorry that I cannot spend time helping every single person in the comments with the mistakes they made. Fortunately, the majority of the people are able to finish this series on their own, without requiring help from the creator to solve their mistakes. I got the [ProfileService]: Roblox API services unavailable - data will not be saved - Studio but it is not loaded it says Rendering is paused for debugging... can someone help?
