How to make a Solo Public Lobby In Read Dead Online (UPDATED 2023)

Such a shame they dont give us just solo/invite only lobbys like gtao like why not 🤷‍♂️

Everyone saying its a shame griefers ruined the game. DUDE its a COMPLETE disrespect that rockstar, a billion dollar game company, just doesnt care in the slightest. its a shame they dont fix anything

I wish they gave us the option to play in invite only lobbies since I literally panic when I see another player.

It's stupid they FORCE you to play in a lobby and with people you don't want to. They should hire good developers that allow you to chose only those you wish to LET join you. Guess that's why story mode is most popular and better.

During a sale it’s either 1. Kill players on sight and if they were nice they aren’t now because they have to throw a conniption fit, chase you down, kill you, and burn the wagon. 2. Don’t kill on sight and they end up killing you and burning down your wagon anyway.

Trader missions, bounties, animal spawns, all issues fixed with this. Thanks a million. Who knew that all I had to do to play Red Dead Online was to not play online

As has been said here already; on PS4 set up a manual network connection, yes to all the defaults except change MTU to 750 and voila! nobody else in your online session. Make loads of money, take it easy, do all the things, without looking over your shoulder all the time and/or getting constantly gang raped. When you want to play with your mates, set MTU back to 1500. Simples.

It’s hard to do anything in this game without expecting to have to discipline some little dumb kid that just picked the game up, I just want to chill and play with my character. I’d do it in offline, like the first game, but they really removed gang hideouts anything fun to do.

All people have to do is stop with this running around it does nothing to help a player stay or not in a solo session. I've have found all a player needs to do once they have started the game is choose their camp to start playing once they have launched the game. Turn off all invites Friends or posse in settings incoming or out going. Because this is how the game tries to force you into a public session all the time. And this method works for only single player and you cannot invite friends. Then go into Change Appearance and back this starts you in a new solo and unpopulated session and then go to Horley in Black Water right away, if you already haven't and he'll give you a mission which requires the player to be in a solo session to complete which means it is not time limited accept the mission and this puts your session into solo perinatally that is until you finish Horley's mission. If you have already done the mission to help the sheriffs, then stranger Joe has one that requires a player be in a solo session to do, just don't finish the mission again. Using this method saves you a lot of grief without downloading mods or having to stay in your camp or your camps area. It works 100% and a player can roam the entire map and do all they need to do. from finding tressure's to finishing all stranger mission and gain more levels And all a player has to do to renter the same solo session is to repeat entering Change Appearances and exist it again when they restart their game and this will start them where they left off again. Pretty simple.

Tired of the people that hop in and absolutely ruin the game. Been recovering from surgery and more recently got into the game. In between my trader role and moonshine last night I lost over $2k to people rolling up and blowing up the carts. Like bro come tf on man, the game is good but it’s players like you who absolutely ruin it.

It works just did it go to camp walk like 15-20 ft away wait for icons to zoom out then change appearance wait 5 secs back out if doesn’t work first time do it again same exact way

On ps4 the MTU setting works great, all the animals/coves/random encounters are working. There is almost too much to do!

First time I accidentally solo lobbies and instantly got a legendary animal, did this solo glitch instantly got another, it's pathetic we need to glitch to spawn in legendary animals

Havent played online in a long time. 1st thing I tried to do a posse of 3 showed up and ruined it for me. Rockstar has completely missed the target with open world online play. Griefers paradise, not worth playing

It isn’t even other players that are a problem, it’s that NONE OF THE ANIMALS EVER SPAWN WHEN THERE’S OTHER PLAYERS IN THE LOBBY why why why it’s so annoying I have to go on a mission just to do any hunting

Not related, but still annoying... there's no way to change your character gender without deleting your current character. My friend abandoned RDO and let me take over her account: but I want to play as a guy since I am a guy, however I did a bit on her character and would hate to lose that progress. They should just add a second character slot since in the intro there were 2 people brought into the police station.

Works, only problem is even though you're not spending the money it still requires you to have the amount to open the appearance editor... on a bright side it seems they changed the price as it only costs $400 instead of 10 gold bars.

It only works if people don't want to join or you have to do the change appearance again after a matter of time because people are catching on to this with people doing this trick and now hackers or grief givers now look for low population sessions, even blocking the ports to get a solo session does not work anymore.

Nice video.. but what's the point of a solo lobby if as soon as i start a sell mission it throws me into a public lobby..yeah it works but only for 15min and only if you just roam around you can't do any sell missions or any missions at all..
