How to Make a spiral shell - Free Crochet Pattern (Subtitles)

I plan on trying a worsted weight cotton. It's not elstic at all. I hope it holds its shape. Was yours worsted weight? What type of did you use. I plan on using an "H hook" and I might use two strands of worsted weight together.

@@juliaverbytska2828 Hi Julia, I actually purchased your spiral shell pattern on Raverly a few weeks ago before people started filming tutorials on this pattern. Although I found your pattern very detailed and thorough, I still appreciate those who took the time out to film a video tutorial. Unfortunately, someone has stolen your original pattern and has given it to the masses. i have seen many people post this same shell design on Instagram, and are selling the tutorial to their followers, so it's hard to pinpoint the original person who stole from you. I truly hope that you get this issue resolved and get compensated appropriately.❤️

Calling people "thieves" and invading their comment section to try to discredit them has a name too : it is called calomny and harrassment. You should calm down. At the very least, this is not good advertisment for your (certainly hard !) work... (I'm talking about crochet patterns in general) while Anna Sakhno here, as hundreds of other crocheters on YT, put time and as hard work and effort as you did yourself with your pattern, in a FREE video. If people buy patterns from you : good for you, its legal and nothing's wrong about that, especially if they are originals, but give free givers a credit : as long as they do NOT PROFIT from it, it can be called FAIR USE. They should give reference to the original pattern they followed, for sure, as a correct and POLITE attitude, but you can't call out for copyright infringment for a lak of courtesy. You don't even have proof that she followed YOUR pattern...or do you ? And even if it was so, as long as she doesn't show it or claim it her own, she doesn't steal from you, as painful as it might be for you. And it is very hard too to trace the "first" or "exact" origin of a crochet pattern, because there is no such thing : there are so many available everywhere. This video (as many, many others of the exact same pattern) might even be a GOOD and FREE publicity for you ! People who want a written pattern can buy it from you ! And visual learners who can't read patterns will continue PEACEFULLY to learn FREELY from fellows crocheters that make free YT videos. Please keep YT videos comment section a peacefull place ! Please tell us about your work without attacking others.

P.S : @Julia Verbytska : you seem to make very beautyfull and skilful crochet artwork, by the way, I hope you understand I didn't want to criticize your work but the way you try to defend it !

The video refers to 2 skeins of polyester, approximately 80 m each, so approximately 160 m using a 6 mm crochet hook.

Hi Marinda, I just finished my shell basket and this problem happened to me too. But I can assure you that once you're finished with the desired amount of sections that you want and have completed the top/handle portion of the basket, you will then slip stitch between each of those "whirl" sections and it will start to bulge out like it's supposed to. It was fascinating to see and mine turned out beautifully! Good luck! ❤️
