When I was a kid in OKC I had neighbors that where always doing beadwork for their tribe gatherings. I could watch for hours and even learned a little before they moved away. Now 30yrs later I’ve started to pick it up and share with my wife (I’ve got a severe spine injury and stuff like this helps me focus on something repetitive to get my mind a way from the pain. It helps me get to sleep even.) looking forward to trying this!
I was just thinking, watching her peyote video, how I would love to watch her doing her beading work in person. I could sit and watch her for hours, I think.
I HAD NO PROBLEM following your lessons on beading as matter of fact on the first go you don't complicate things straight up fantastic art work. ty L.A
I am so glad that I found your utube web page. I love peyote Stitch and mainly use it in most of my projects.Thank you for showing me the correct way to peyote. My name is Marion and I am from England, UK
I love your tutorials Cheyenne, your directions are so clear I feel like I could start beading today. Please make more videos - I’d love to learn how to fringe a rosette and turn it into a necklace :)
You can change the playback speed in the top right corner (the 3 dots.) Sometimes some tutorials are so slow I speed it up 1.5 times and you can go backwards too. :)
Loved your video. I little fast but i am just a new at beading. I got some great pointers to buying beads and how to do 8 points design. I got the basics off another circle square stitch. Much thanks.
Can you please make more beading video tutorials!! Please maybe slower and more information on how to make the design please love you video please make more!!!!! 😊
Fantastic tutorial, thanks for your time! My first one ended up not flat however and that s probably due to my beads as you explained being different from each other. Very well explained, thank you!
Hi! I like the way you teach with your smooth and steady instructions. I agree with other comments. I see as you go further out on your rows it’s easy to follow. What are your favorite beads to use?
I love the music you are using... Can you advise who it is & where I might acquire a recording for myself? Also, I'm confused regarding the adding of the beads... You say "pull threat first toward you & then back away from you" What bead do you enter when going away? Obviously if you go back through the same bead you just came out of, the thread would exit, thus not actually sewing the beads together. Can you please explain? I've always made rosettes by sewing them to felt. This is a new way that I would really like to learn. Thank you & God bless.
ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-gZOf5EPHtd8.html Newest how to video! How to bead square stitch I hope its helpful for anyone wanting to learn how to do bead work ⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️
I really enjoyed this but there is no way that I have the patience for doing this and I do not see well but it was fun.. Very nice work, thanks for sharing.
I was just about to ask about variations in bead sizes. Thank you for talking about that! Nothing sucks more than spending hours on a project only to have it look junky at the end because of poor quality/different size beads. I use delicas now but they can be pricey. The Czech preciocas are good too but they seem smaller to me than other 11/0s. What kind of seed beads do you use in this video? Thank you by the way! :)
Beautiful work. Well taught. It would have helped me more if you went a bit slower when adding the next row. Also when increasing, adding colors, then decreasing. I am a visual learner so it went a little to fast in some places but you do beautiful work. Blessings, Grace from Moodus, CT USA.
Wow! I never knew the difference between the tubed beads and the beads on the strains. It is true though, thr beads in the tube aren't always the same size or quality. Thank you for sharing that info., very helpful.
I liked this video. I have been to many rendezvous’s and have seen many of the venders sell these and have wondered how these were made. I was also wondering how far you’ve gone to rendezvous’s and other mountain man events over the years? We just recently had one here in Wyoming.
Love all your videos, great teacher. Only problem Im having is finding the white nymo 00 in crazy crow. Am I doing something wrong? Can you link it to me?
Beautiful bead work do you bead earrings and necklaces and bracelets? Would love to see you make a video on these ty love your videos your instructions are excellent ty pls make more videos on beading ty Aho l
I am trying to understand ,as you go around the circle adding 8 beads doesn't the project get larger so 8 beads would not make a whole row around ?I guess I need to just do it and likely understand one I am beading .I like this method ..I have only made rosettes doing crow stitch sewing beads directly onto leather .great video tutorial .I love your channel !
I have been looking for this!! Can you tell us the pattern on how and where to add beads as you go around? I see you added 2 all the way around the base row. Then 2 bead and the one bead the second row. What do we do for the next row, and the next row, and so on? I know you must add 8 more beads in each row, but it is the pattern of putting them on where I get lost. Can you help me out with that part? I want to make really large rosettes with about 25-30 rows. Thank you!!!
Thank you for this video! I finally managed to get one made! I was guessing a lot from the point where the blue started tapering off, but I think I guessed it right! Now, how do I attach this to leather? It feels quite soft and flexible and perhaps fragile. I’m not sure how to attach it. Thank you.
I really enjoyed watching you. Your technique is different than I have seen before, and I think its a more "sturdy" finished piece. Like some others mentioned, I did think it was a bit fast, BUT when I Needed to see a step, I went back and paused it. ( like to count the beads ) Waste
Please make one for complete beginners. I cannot make out if you are going back through bead or just the thread. Sorry I can't explain well. I am from India. Pls make a beginners tutorial. Thank you.
Hi ❤️ I think you are very good however I absolutely cannot see what you are doing because you're going way too fast and I'm losing you and can't follow. I appreciate the lesson and the work that you are doing but if you wouldn't mind, can you please go slower and show the adding of the beads each row, at least for a few rounds. I'm confused how you add the 2 beads and the direction you are going in. I have wanted to learn this technique for a long time, and you are the only one kind enough to have made a video on this technique! Regards Heidi ❤️
If you tap your screen you see three dots in the right hand corner, that gives access to settings where you can control captions, video quality and most importantly the speed at which the video plays, giving you the ability to speed up or slow down the speed at which the video plays. Just an idea.
Can you please do a more stable camera, couldn't really see any of the beginning and middle the camera didn't keep focus on your project. Thank you so much for sharing though. Hope you can do another rosette tutorial.
Hi nice video. Could you please explain how to complete the row of beads. I have tried to do this style of beading and my pattern never matches up. I’ll try and watch it again. Thanks
I'm lost as soon as you have the first 8 beads on and make them into a loop. The beads are completely hidden and there's no clue about what you are doing. When the camera zooms in, you are moving out of frame frequently. I really want to see what you are doing.
Love your work and I have been using your techniques, but the camera needs to not zoom in quite so close or it needs to be on a fixed platform because the motion of your hands combined with the motion of the camera operator at such a close shot is very disturbing. Thanks.
Been beading a long time. Have never seen this style. Seems fast. The thread shows too much, versus the regular way of making medallions. Nice work, though.
Like everyone else here has said, please try to remember that you are teaching others to do something they have never done before. It's great that you are so comfortable doing it that you can do it at rabbit-pace, but for us beginners trying to learn, it's way too fast. Slow down, *show us* what you are doing and please use a steady camera. The camera bouncing around just makes it even harder to follow. Also... not all "tube beads" are created equal. The BEST beads I buy come in tubes (even from Hobby Lobby), and they are called Delicas and Tohos. Miyuki seed beads are perfectly uniform in size and shape and excellent for making perfect beadwork. I do fully agree with staying away from Walmart tube beads...although they can be used on projects where uniformity isn't that important.
I like your style but it seems that you are not explaining in detail how to slip thread over or under row to form a circle..you also don't show pattern..when to add a different color..lame...going to move on to a more detailed beader..I am a beader but your example is not clear..thanks but wasted a day on trying to get it dialed in...nope!!!
I understand a lot of what you're saying but your hands are moving too fast and not you're not staying in camera range are slow enough for us to see exactly what you're doing
