i love the fact that you don't just show how to make the specific sound you're making like other "tutorials"; you actually explain the principles behind them. i've been looking for something like this for a long time. thank you!!
Aw thanks! Yeah that's the exact kind of tutorial I'm always looking for as well. I always have so much more fun experimenting with foundational principles than I do just following a recipe/blueprint.
I think you just described what I loved about the Bebot app. I have no rhythm (trying to fix that) but I loved exploring the sounds Bebot allowed me to make with ease
I haven't done a lot of work with guitars myself, but I've been super inspired by the artist Nular he does amazing live djent-style finger drumming you should totally check it out! We're planning a Collab soon so maybe we can do some kind of tutorial on that sometime. 🤞🏽
Yo! Glad you dig it! I also absolutely love this one. It’s not out yet but it’s definitely on its way. Make sure you subscribe or follow me on Spotify/bandcamp to make sure you don’t miss it! 🙏🏽
@@bupkis7505 thanks I’ll try that instead . I was also under the impression that you’re supposed to have 2 notches sweep pass each other in your filter/eq you’re using , not just a band pass filter
Oh no I hate when that happens! Let's try to figure this out then. Can you try to describe the differences you're getting? I didn't do a great job showing which notes I'm playing, maybe try moving around a few different octaves? Also the macros we mapped in the video can make a huge difference, you may just need to explore where your macros are set to find a sweet spot you like.
I do indeed slide past the square wave when I move through the basic wavetable, but I end up on the saw wave at the end. I find it has better transients with its low notes.
